I compared my Twitter-based traffic to ACASignups.net for the same period in 2022 & 2023 (3/01 - 4/30 each year).

I posted 79 blog entries during that period last year and 77 this year, and I tend to promote all of them equally.

Traffic via Twitter is down 71% y/y.
Related: I received around 4% as much traffic to ACASignups.net via #Spoutible in March/April 2023 as via Twitter...with around 4% as many followers. So I guess that tracks?
I don't know how much traffic I've received via #Mastodon because it doesn't show up in my analytics--I assume this is due to the decentralized nature of Mastodon?
NOTE: This doesn't mean that *overall* traffic is down 71%; just traffic from Twitter itself.

For everyone STILL demanding that Sen. Feinstein resign *now* (rather than at the end of her term, as she's already doing), a reminder that if she did so & Gov. Newsom appointed a replacement, it would result in exactly what you keep falsely claiming already happened. 1/
The claim is that her absence caused Biden judicial appointees to stop...except a number of them had already passed out of the Judicial committee before she left. She came back before the list was scratched off, so the committee votes should continue. 2/
Now, her absence *did* cause Dems to lose at least one *non-judicial* bill vote...but any number of Senators have been out sick/etc from time to time, such as John Fetterman & Mitch McConnell's recent absences. Shit happens, & when it's 50/50 or 51/49 that can impact votes. 3/

I decided to take a look at Dems running for GOP Senate seats so far. Everyone knows about Colin Allred in TX, of course; and Lucas Kunce has some buzz in Missouri.

As for other states... 1/
FL: Don Horan, Matt Boswell
IN: Marshall Travis, Valerie McCray
MO: December Harmon
MS: Ty Pinkins
TN: Joanne Sowell
TX: Aaron Arguijo, Heli Rodriguez Prilliman, John Love, Thierry Tchenko, Tracy Andrus, Victor Dunn

No, I have no clue who any of these folks are either, but... 2/
...I still give them praise for stepping up. I don't see any Dems running in Nebraska, North Dakota, Utah or Wyoming yet, though these are just candidates with ActBlue accounts so there could be others.

🚨🚨 Wondering why I'm pushing my 2023-2024 cycle Dem candidate fundraising pages so heavily this early? There's three reasons:

1. Best to lock in funding early, of course;

2. Virginia & New Jersey (as well as KY, LA & MS) have legislative and/or statewide elections THIS year;
The *third* reason, however, is the most concerning: Due to Elon Musk's #Enshittification (h/t @doctorow) of Twitter, visibility/reach of my tweets has plummeted...which means these links aren't being seen by nearly as many people.

So...I'm pushing them even harder this cycle.
I hope this explains why I've been irritating folks feeds with links to XforZ.us as well as the individual fundraising pages.

The stakes are higher than ever this cycle. Dems MUST win at the federal, statewide *and* legislative levels!!

On the subject of students bringing guns to school: In "The Breakfast Club," there was always one part of Brian's story about being put in detention for bringing a gun to school which never made any sense to me. 1/
It's an emotional scene when he talks about the tremendous pressure he's under to keep his grades up; you're meant to believe that he was planning on either killing himself, other students/teachers, or both.

The tension is broken when he reveals it was actually a flare gun. 2/
My question is...did he KNOW it was a flare gun at the time? If so...then what exactly was his plan?

Or is the implication that he didn't know it was a flare gun until after it was found & he was busted?

Literally the plot of Tomorrow Never Dies.
There’s an old short story called "The 10:00 Report is Brought to You By...", by Edward Bryant about a TV station which pays a motorcycle gang to invade and terrorize a small town so that the station can get the “scoop” on the story by having their cameras there to capture it.
The station even goes so far as to have a remote camera record and live broadcast a woman being raped by one of the gang members.

Licht’s CNN is just a few steps short of that.

In 2012 I created the Republican Rape Advisory Chart website, a compilation of statements by high-profile GOP officials minimizing or even cheering on rape & sexual assault.

After Trump won in 2016, in stopped updating the site since there was no longer any point in doing so.
Anyway, the archive is still available here: goprapeadvisorychart.com
Here’s a thread of SOME of the statements. Warning: sone of these may induce vomiting:
