THREAD on #DebtCeiling. The @HouseGOP passed #HR2811 - the Limit, Save, Grow Act - that raises the debt ceiling $1.5 Trillion or until 3/31/24, for sensible, purposeful non-political reforms. Those reforms should NOT be abandoned - because they matter… (1/10)

…Purposeful reform #1: Cut the federal bureaucracy to pre-COVID levels by limiting total discretionary 2024 spending to 2022 levels ($1.471 TR) -which constrains woke bureaucrats to help spur growth & freedom, & re-sets spending to save $131BB now, & 3.5TR over 10 years… (2/10)

…Purposeful reform #2: Cut the so-called “inflation reduction act” tax credit give-aways to rich, white, elites (90%+ corp subsidies go to $1BB+ corps, 80% of EV go to $100K+ people) to save $1.2 TR, keep reliable power, & end increases to the cost of gas/electricity… (3/10)

…Purposeful reform #3: Implement the REINS Act to end the abuse of executive power to pass regulations that cost Americans hundreds of billions of dollars, by requiring Congressional approval for significant regulations… (4/10)

…Purposeful reform #4: End the expensive, deficit increasing, & tuition increasing $550BB student loan bailout that picks winners & losers… forcing a hard-working plumber or a patriotic veteran… to subsidize the privileged, some gender studies student’s Masters Degree… (5/10)

…Purposeful reform #5: End the $80BB IRS expansion that will target the poor & minority 3-5X more than non-poor & minority taxpayers… in other words ANOTHER policy that hurts hard-working families while the elite/privileged just hire a lawyer… (6/10)

…Purposeful reform #7: Enforcing work requirements for able bodies Americans - mirroring the bipartisan reforms signed by President Clinton and supported by then Senator Joe Biden… and widely supported by Americans to spur economic growth & reduce welfare… (7/10)

…Purposeful reform #8: Reclaim $50BB + in unobligated, unspent COVID money after literally trillions dumped into the economy causing massive inflation and paying people not to work… (8/10)

…These reforms help the middle class & hard-working American families rather than the Dem agenda of supporting privileged, elites, & corporate crony financiers of a radical agenda… (9/10
