Cover Letter- I'm not a fan of cover letters, but I see it as a better way to really learn how to introduce yourself and talk about your achievements, no matter how small they are. A cover letter is all about summarizing your résumé in a more creative and engaging context.
Résumé - The misconceptions around résumé are loads. Having a résumé fit for the target job is important. I personally recommend you have your résumé in all 3 formats (Templated résumé, docs pdf, docx) and ready to deploy them as needed.
