Berean Baptist Academy in Fayetteville received >$1.7 million in public $ this year.

They “do not offer programs” for students with learning or emotional disabilities or ADHD and they “may not accept students with medical conditions.”

They should not get public $ #nced #ncga

Liberty Christian Academy in Richlands received >$1.5 million in public $ this year.

They “do not provide enrollment" to students with special education needs and deny admittance to students with physical needs related to toileting.

Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville received >$1.1 million in public $ this year.

They require “average to above average aptitude or achievement." They are “not equipped to meet the needs” of students with IEPs or 504 Plans.

Salem Baptist Christian School in Winston-Salem received >$1.1 mil in public $ this year.

Students with disabilities are charged up to $3,350 on top of standard tuition. Students placed in a self-contained class are charged $4,080 more.

Students identified as gifted or in need of intervention based on standardized percentile ranks pay $500-1500+ in additional tuition.

Public schools cannot discriminate on the basis of disability and must provide a FREE, appropriate public education (FAPE) to all students. Public $ should not go to private schools that deny admission or FAPE to students with disabilities. #nced #ncga
