What a Disastrous Customer Service IndiGo

Checked-In Baggage Delayed for Over 5 Hours with No Explanation, Ruined Travel & Meetings

And this was a Corporate Booking 🤦‍♂️
Very Conveniently, The Handling Desk at Delhi, T-2 Arrivals asked to wait for 5 Hours

Or they can get the Bag Delivered by tomorrow afternoon

Clear Miscommunication from Boarding Desk at Origin @IndiGo6E
When asked for Change of Seat

The staff replied - “For that you need to come on time” at Origin 🥶

Need to escalate this and let me know the possible compensation for my time and this entire inconvenience @DGCAIndia @IndiGo6E

Market Share of Grocery Shopping 🛒

Retail & Offline - 95%
Supermarkets - 4%
Online Groceries - 1%

ONDC was Talk of the Town for Food Ordering

Today, Let’s Discuss about Grocery Delivery Image
Here’s a Very Interesting Data Point

Online Grocery Market was Valued at Over $8 Billion in 2020 and Expected to Reach $19 Billion by 2025 Image
Even though less than 1% Indians Order Groceries Online, It was one of the Hottest Investing Segment for VCs

Online Grocery Delivery is not even new in India, Big Basket etc are some of the early entrants.

CRED might have done 10 other things wrong

But they never started charging a ₹99 Convenience Fee on Credit Card Bill Payments
With all my limited understanding

One can’t build a sustainable & profitable business with cash burning product
Majority users are the most loyal to cashback & incentives

This certainly works for acquiring users, creating a buzz in the market

But for actual retention, the product needs to have stickiness & some USPs

Unpopular Opinion - ‘Per Capita Income’ is an Unreliable Indicator in a Country like India

Just like Poor Hunger, Press Freedom Indexes
Came across many people who claim to be Farmer, but have many bungalow & SUVs

Good chunk of street vendors, local food chains, restaurant owners in smaller cities. No bills, daily turnover ranging between ₹10,000 to a few Lakhs
Sarojini Market, Chandani Chowk in Delhi, Jewellers etc are a classic example

I’m not denying that we don’t have a poor population, indeed we need to do better for them

I have over 30+ Credit Cards

And here are Some Practical Insights
First of all

Personal Finance is ‘Personal’

It’s absolutely fine if you use cash & UPI and don’t use Credit Cards

It’s also great if you have multiple Credit Cards and leveraging them effectively
