In 1981, the then Defense Minister of Israel Ariel Sharon had a dream....
That one day, the South Hebron Hills would be emptied of its 1000 native inhabitants....
Alas, in May 2022, the Supreme Court of Israel approved the ethnic cleansing that Ariel Sharon dreamed about:
And, by June 2, 2023, Israeli settlers had already moved into the area.
This is the history of Zionist colonization of Palestine in a nutshell. Slow, steady, gradual, quiet removal of the native population, to be replaced by Jews
One of the most common Zionist myths about the 1948 War is that Israel expelled Palestinians for security reasons.
Let’s talk about the village of Zarnuqa, a peaceful Palestinian village of some 2,700 residents, whose residents were ethnically cleansed exactly 75 years.
In May 1948, Zarnuqa's mukhtar announced their surrender.
Zarnuqa was already known as friendly since its people worked in nearby Jewish-owned orchards.
In fact, its residents had already prevented Palestinian fighters from using the village as a base.

But, despite that, on May 27, 1948, Zionist forces attacked Zarnuqa, bombarding the village with mortars. An account of the occupation was published in the al Hamishmer newspaper.
Many Zionists believe that Muslims never cared about Palestine & didn't identify as Palestinian until much later than Christians.
First of all, ask yourself, why they are trying so hard to erase any traces of a Palestinian identity or affinity with Palestine among Muslims?
Answer: the Arab connection to Palestine is a reminder to Zionists that Zionism was a movement to remove the indigenous population of mostly Muslims & replace them with Jews.
That's why they cannot accept that Muslims, just like Christians, identified w Palestine. Examples ⤵️
Most people think that Zionism + British Mandate over Palestine (1920-1948) are the things that led Arabs in Palestine to see Palestine as their homeland.
False.
A bit about a book titled, "The Geography of Palestine," published in Arabic / Greek in 1904.
Sbiridun Sarruf wrote the book for Orthodox Schools:
There were 65 boy schools & 13 girl schools in Jerusalem, Jaffa, Salt, Haifa, Karak, Ramallah, Jifna, Birzeit, Tayibe, Fuheis, Ajlun, Beit Jala Irbid, Nablus, Beit Sahur & Kafr Kanna.
In the book, Palestine's borders stretched from the Galilee to the southern Judaea mountains, and from the Mediterranean Sea to the mountains on the Eastern side of the Jordan River.
Something not well known about Palestinian history...
Palestinian writers in the late 19th, early 20th century showed lots of inclusivity towards & admiration for Jews & Jewish history in Palestine. There was nothing taboo about writing Jews INTO the history of Palestine :🧵:
The following quote is a condensed summary of a much larger article published in Filastin in August 1912 by Jubran Matar.
Note that he mentioned Judaism. He mentioned the Israelites. He’s showing deference to Jewish history in Palestine:
“Palestine, the site of revelation, birthplace of Judaism & Christianity, a Holy Land for Muslims, your land brings forth milk & honey. Your ancient inhabitants, the Hittites, Canaanites, Phoenicians, Philistines, & Israelites left behind so much celebrated history.”
