I don't know why the ABC keeps pushing these "lest we forget" articles when they themselves have admitted most of the Tiananmen narrative was lies & falsehoods.
Noone died in Tiananmen Square. But fierce street clashes killed many #auspolabc.net.au/news/2023-06-0… via @ABCaustralia
Here the ABC admits that the contents on Bob Hawke's teary speech (that defined a generation) was based on lies and falsehoods that he discovered soon afterwards, but he never corrected the record abc.net.au/radionational/…
Here is video from a Spanish news crew (never shown to us) of the square being peacefully cleared on the morning of June 4th.
Noone died in Tiananmen Square.
Hundreds of course did die in the avenues leading away from Tiananmen Square, where fierce street battles occurred.
Just look at the number of burnt out tanks, busses and corpses of police.
Peaceful protests don't drive burnt out tanks, or carry machine guns.
We've been lied to
In today's language, what occurred in Beijing in 1989 was a planned colour revolution, using the student protests as a cover.
After losing control of the situation, order was finally restored.
The truth is far more sinister than we've been led to believe.
Why have all these photos been suppressed from the narrative?
Why has the ABC admitted noone died in the square?
Why has not a single photo of dead in the square ever been realised?
We know why canadianpatriot.org/2022/04/04/tia…
Can't let the truth get in the way of the US most successful anti China propaganda narrative.
And don't they drum it in, yer after year after year.
But every year they back away from the original narrative a little more.
They know its built on lies.
But the Chinese are pushing back.
While previously embarrassed that such a colour revolution got so out of control & killed so many (face saving is an important Chinese characteristic), now they are confronting the lies & taking ownership of crushing this US colour revolution.
Funny we NEVER hear of a very similar uprising that was brutally suppressed by the US backed military in South Korea.
One we've never heard of. Never reminded of.
The other we are are told to never forget and are endlessly reminded of...
@zerohedge Oil.
Lots and lots of cheap Russian oil.
Oh, and a good dose of national independence to boot.
@zerohedge India is leading a turbo charged revival of the non aligned movement.
The new big 8.
India, China, Russia, Mexico, Iran, Turkey, Indonesia, Brazil
Turbo charged.
@zerohedge "The sanctions policy of the West has led to the formation of a "new big eight" in the world.
The group of countries not participating in the sanctions wars - China, India, Russia, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, Iran & Turkey - is 24.4% ahead of the current G7 in terms of GDP at PPP"
"Twitter suspends you for telling the truth. Not for lying.
Just look at Julian Assange"
Jimmy Dore.
Don't talk about Tiananmen Square truthfully. You'll be suspended..
There is a reason this video from a Spanish film crew has been suppressed.
It clearly shows Tiananmen Square being cleared without violence.
The students are chanting & singing as they file out.
Noone died in the Square.
Violent street fighting came later
The "peaceful protesters" drove burnt out tanks, fired machine guns, beat police to death and well as burnt out buses, tanks and trucks.
It's reported just as many police or soldiers died as Rioters.
We have been lied to in a massive way, for decades
"Unless we cut a deal with Putin, with the removal of sanctions as a component, I see a danger of the world becoming subject to two trading blocs: the west & the rest.
Supply chains will be reorganised to stay within them.."
"... Russia’s energy, wheat, metals, and rare earths will still be consumed, but not here. We keep the Big Macs.
I am not sure the west is ready to confront the consequences of its actions: persistent inflation, reduced industrial output, lower growth, and higher unemployment.."
"... To me, economic sanctions on Russia look like the last hurrah of a dysfunctional concept known as the west.
The Ukraine war is a catalyst of massive de-globalisation..."
"Russia's the world largest exporter of gas, accounting for just under 20% of global exports; the largest exporter of oil, after Saudi Arabia (11% of world exports); the largest exporter of fertilisers & of wheat. Russia & Ukraine account for almost a 1/3 global wheat exports."
"It's the world’s largest exporter of palladium, a metal that is critical in production of catalytic converters & fuel cells; the largest world exporter of nickel, which is used in batteries, & in the production for hybrid cars..."
"German industry is warning that it is reliant not only on Russian gas, but on other critical supplies from Russia.
Did we think this through?"
Leading economists are now starting to ask the hard questions.
"Western sanctions were based on a formally correct but misleading premise: That Russia is more dependent on us than we are on Russia.
Russia has more wheat than it can eat, & more oil than it can burn. Russia is a provider of primary & secondary..
... commodities, on which the world has become dependent. Oil and gas are the biggest sources of Russian export revenues. But our dependency is most acute in other areas: food and also rare metals and rare earths. Russia is not a monopolist in any of the categories...
... But when the largest exporters of those commodities disappears, the rest of the world experiences physical shortages and rising prices... "
"I do not believe for one moment that U.S. intelligence services do not know what is going on in Ukraine and in Kiev. They know that the Ukraine has lost the war and will have to sue for peace as soon as possible..."
Ouch ouch..
"They also have told the White House that this is a case and that the whole idea of setting up the Ukraine to tickle the Russian bear was idiotic from the get go.."
"what the NYT piece does is passing the buck from the intelligence community to president Zelensky: "He did not inform us about the bad position his country was in."
It's cover your ass time & his prominence in the 'west' makes it possible to blame him personally for the outcome"
