On 9 March 2023, I requested all correspondence between the Department of Health and Aged Care #Australia , Facebook and Twitter regarding Dept. request(s) for Facebook posts/groups and Tweets to be removed or flagged from 1 Jan 2021 - 1 March 2023.

Department of Health and Aged Care, #Australia Social Media unit reached out to Facebook querying if Facebook group "United Collective" infringed its policy (spreading misinformation) and as a result if it can be shut down?

Following this, Facebook advised that they reviewed and deleted 9 piece of content for violation of their policies.

Facebook also advised Dept. of Health #Australia to keep an eye on post(s) which might be violating their policy and report them to Facebook for review.

Dept. of Health #Australia "thought" this Facebook group's aim is to breach Facebook's COVID misinformation policy and is against the COVID information (mainstream), why Facebook is not removing the group?

Facebook advised that large volume of content does not violate policy.

Correspondence between Facebook and Dept. of Health #Australia show discussion about "demoting".

CNET in October 2021 published that Facebook
will demote content posted in Groups making potentially problematic content harder for others to find.

Dept. of Health reached out to Facebook
flagging a group where members shared their #COVID19 vaccine reactions and a group on Instagram.

Facebook took the group down (policy violation).

Dept. of Health #Australia reached out to Facebook about an antivax Facebook group and advised that they are using Dept. branding as photo) to make it more legit.

Facebook advised Dept. of Health to lodge a IP complaint.

Facebook took the down the group.

Dept. of Health #Australia flagged (context- harassment) with Facebook a post which encouraged people to contact the TGA via phone or email from .@NationFirstAust who they alleged is a known political anti-vaxxer.

Facebook advised it did not violated their policies.
