Dept. of Health Australia has updated their Guidance on Myocarditis and Pericarditis after COVID-19 vaccines on 12 January 2024.

Here are some interesting points 👇🏽

#CovidVaccines In the guidance published on 9 Nov 2022, they said that a small number of cases of have been reported in the clinical trial and in Australia. Now, they are saying that Myocarditis and/or pericarditis can occur after Novavax at a similar rate to the mRNA vaccine.

Myocarditis - 4 in every 100K doses.
Pericarditis - 13 in every 100K doses.

In late 2022, as part of the process of should the restriction on #Ivermectin be lifted in Australia, The NSW Poisons Information centre (NSW PIC) in their submission to the TGA advised that they were not in favor.

This email exchange from January 2021 b/w Prof. Allen Cheng (ATAGI Voting member) and Prof. Paul Kelly (Australia Chief Medical Officer) is intriguing.

“Why would we use a vaccine that mightn't prevent transmission?"

I am quite not sure what "herd immunity" Prof. Cheng is talking about with COVID-19 vaccines as these vaccines do no prevent one from contracting it and does not prevent trasmission.

A bivalent vaccine (one dose) is preferred over original vaccines (2 doses) for primary vaccination.

Also:-

Australians had (still have to in some work sectors) to provide a copy of the COVID-19 digital certificate to their employers to work "on-site" as COVID-19 vaccines and proof of administration was mandated by state governments across #Australia via Public Health Order.

TGA #Australia has announced today (3 May 2023), that from 1 June 2023, prescribing of oral #Ivermectin for ‘off-label’ uses will no longer be limited to specialists such as dermatologists, gastroenterologists and infectious diseases specialists.

On 20th April 2021, #Pfizer requested waiver for summary of drug utilization rate because data on drug utilization rates in females of reproductive potential was not available for BNT162b2 (mRNA).

#pfizer searched their safety database for all BNT162b2 vaccine cases reporting any exposure to
vaccine during pregnancy or exposure to baby via lactation from all time through 28 February 2021.

673 cases identified. Out of 673 identified cases:-
- 458 involved BNT162b2 exposure during
pregnancy (mother/fetus)

- 215 involved exposure during breast-feeding.

Paper published (16 Feb 2022) by Dept. of Health #Australia about utilisation of antimicrobials used to treat bacterial pneumonia in principal referral hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 beg some serious question.

"Overall usage (in 2020) of doxycycline, azithromycin, amoxicillin and cefuroxime decreased in principal referral hospitals compared to 2019." in #Australia

Please note, to treat bacterial pneumonia, you need doxycycline or azithromycin.

In recent COVID-19 vaccine report, TGA #Australia has advised that they have updated the Product Information leaflet for "Heavy menstrual bleeding" as an adverse reaction for COVID-19 mRNA vaccines.

Also advised to see Dr. for any new vaginal bleeding after menopause. They have advised that although a definitive link has not been established, the TGA considers there is a possibility that heavy periods could be causally associated with vaccination.
