Brittany Higgins made an allegation that she had been raped by Bruce Lehrmann in the office of Australia’s then defense minister in 2019. She told police but wouldn't file charges. Then went to the media in 2021 in a political campaign against the PM.

Lehrmann was charged with sexual assault, but the case was dismissed for jury misconduct when a juror brought evidence into the deliberations from the internet.

The case was dismissed again to protect the mental health of Brittany Higgins by not having her testify again. I bet cross examination would be much harder now that this evidence has been exposed.

Audio recordings & texts confirmed that the allegation was brought foward in 2021, 2 years after the alleged rape, to target the Liberal Party & their prime minister.
The Labor Party politicians who helped make it a political attack are now senior officials in the new government.

The politicians involved lied in Senate Estimates about their involvement in this oppo research attack on the Liberal Party.

It wasn't about prosuction of crimes, it was about convincing the court of public opinion that the other party was full of wrongdoers who needed defeated.

This sounds so much like the 'beach friends' advising Christine Blasey Ford on her allegations against Supreme Court Justice nominee Kavanaugh

They even offered Higginis a job as a media advisor with a regional legislature...

So she got the job from the Labor Party.

Then was told to delete her social media accounts to help handle the story.

Then after Labor took over the government they secured a secret multimillion dollar payout to her, just like the secret US Congressional sexual harrassment fund.

Swampy politicians will use anything to create narratives that advance their party's interests at the expense of the other party & the taxpayers.

Just as Hillary was ready with tweets in 2016 to exploit stories about Trump that her oppo research team helped create.
Labor Party politicians were also ready to take advantage of the 'news' they helped craft to fool the court of public opinion.

And they misled the Australian Senate by lying to them about their prior knowledge about the case.

They weren't responding to real news & using it against their opponents. They were engineering the fake news to use it against their opponents.
