How did they do it?

Ages 13, 9, 4, and an infant 🧒, they survived the world's most dangerous wildlife with venomous snakes and ferocious predators.

When a helicopter carrying their parents crashed in the Amazon forest, these children miraculously survived. They were seated in the back side of the plane.

Their incredible story teaches us that survival skills go beyond what you can learn in books.

When their plane crashed in the jungle, Lesly J Mucutuy, 13, "stepped up as the leader" and protected his siblings for 40 days until rescuers arrived.

The only survivors of the crash were Lesly, Soleiny J Mucutuy (9), Tien R Mucutuy (4), and baby Cristin R Mucutuy.

These kids are from the Huitoto tribe, one of many Indigenous groups living in the Amazon. Traditionally, hunter-gatherers,most Huitoto have "adapted to a westernized way of life".

Then, relief! Colombian soldiers found them and ended the captivating search-and-rescue saga tht left everyone questioning how they survived in the jungle.
