On March 16th, we filed a motion to compel @NIH to expedite production of records from nine #FOIA requests about the origins of Covid-19 and high risk virological research.
NIH has finally replied -- with more foot-dragging. NIH’s excuses and stonewalling are a window into why — 3 years after Covid began — we still don’t have answers to basic questions about covid origins and risky research on viruses.

It's long past time for the Biden administration to stand up for transparency, and tell its agencies to quit the stonewalling and cough up the documents about covid origins and high risk virological research.

Today, the University of Sydney denied our appeal (application for internal review) for documents of Prof. Edward Holmes about the scientific work for an influential paper he co-authored, “The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2”.

The University of Sydney’s decision states, “there is an overriding public interest against its disclosure.” Image
The @Sydney_Uni decision also states: “Your timeline does not provide substantiated facts in relation to misconduct by any University employee and therefore it is appropriate that I give this public interest consideration in favour of disclosure little weight.” Image

Did the @StateDept predict something like the Covid-19 pandemic in 2018?

Yes, according to a @StateDept official, in a batch of new documents we obtained just before Thanksgiving via #FOIA litigation.
In one of the emails, a @StateDept official writes, “Looks like the media is starting to report on this [the origin of the pandemic] more factually....If they get my cables they’ll also know it was essentially predicted in 2018.” Image
The @StateDept official may well be referring to the cables warning of unsafe conditions at the Wuhan Institute of Virology that @joshrogin reported on later in April 2020
