I was in a space earlier today, when someone made the case that those of us advocating for the sanctioning of the Abiy administration are "treasonous." That by us asking our fellow humans around the world for help of any kind
against the endless atrocities & corruption by the OPP government, we are downright traitors! And therefore anyone who asks for help against a genocidal dictatoriship, no matter how far the regime goes, is evil.
Because, in the mind of the person who levied those accusations,
treason, of any kind, is definitively worse than genocide, rape, mass murder, displacement, destruction of homes, man-made famine, etc., all combined. In which case any German who opposed the brutal Nazi regime, & worked with the allies, was worse than all of the Nazis running
the death grinder that became the Third Reich. Anyone who isn't willing to see his or her people, their parents & children, being sacrificed by a repressive state, but willing to go outside that system for help, is worse than the killers within the system. The scorn isn't
reserved for those causing the death, suffering, & destruction; it's reserved for those who look for other humans beyond the borders for any help to stop the evil power within.
Taking that logic to its natural course, then perhaps an abusive father should do anything he wants to
to his children. Or any business should use slave labor doing to its laborers whatever it wants. Or any officer should brandish is gun & kill whoever he doesn't like. Because, by that logic, whatever they do to their victims, they'll never be as bad as someone seeing it and
reporting them to others outside of the system.
A corrupt repressive system that zeroes out any human dignitary in order for the regime to do with its people whatever it wants no matter how many people die in the process - this is the system we fight! And it's become impossible
to fight it within the system because the system is itself deep within an amoral ocean, far from oxygen, where might makes right, & people perish in every direction. The regime prospers when there's no oxygen & everyone is weak & vulnerable to their whims. We're on the outside
trying to bring the victims oxygen, but it's become impossible for us to do it alone. We're asking for outside help because the situation is desperate. It has become the lesser evil of the available options - by far! We have to do what we have to do... but we're not the bad
guys, for what we betray, if it indeed can be called "betrayal," is an absolutely evil & brutal system supporting a dictatorship.

Politics typically boils down to a choice between two tough options - perhaps two awful options. We all sort of know this, but at some point this concept becomes a hot reality. In 2021, I supported #NoMore &
viewed sanctions as borderline betrayal to the homeland. I viewed the west as being permanently fixated on installing TPLF, specifically, in order to destabilize the HOA region for one reason or another. I viewed changing the narrative in the west to be virtually impossible.
But since then, I've seen the deterioration of the nation under @AbiyAhmedAli 's growing dictatorship. I've seen the mounting evidence that his government, in concert with Gov. @ShimelisAbdisa's & Mayr @AdanechAbiebie's respective administrations, is highly likely behind the
