States and individuals can stop the #pistolbrace rule – without waiting for the feds to magically do something they almost never do – limit their own power.
It'll take hard work and good strategy. The latter, we’ve got from James Madison. @michaelboldin
@michaelboldin Writing in Federalist 46, James Madison gave us a 4-step blueprint to stop federal programs - without waiting on the federal government to stop itself.
Implementing this plan, he wrote, "would oppose, in any State, difficulties not to be despised; would form, in a large State,… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Step 1: "The Disquietude of the people" – Madison expected the people to throw a fit when the feds usurped power or tried to implement unpopular policies.
That's happening now in response to the #PistolBrace rule - and it needs to ramp up - online and off.
Step 2: "their repugnance and, perhaps refusal to cooperate with officers of the Union"
Leading dictionaries of the time defined repugnance as “disobedient; not obsequious” (compliant). If you want to stop the federal government, you have to disobey them.
Step 3: "The frowns of the executive magistracy of the State"
James Madison envisions governors formally protesting federal actions. This not only raises public awareness; executive leadership also leads to the next step – legislative action by the states.
Step 4: "Legislative devices, which would often be added on such occasions"
James Madison said that using these four steps in multiple states “would present obstructions which the federal government would hardly be willing to encounter.” twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
In February, Montana Gov. Gianforte wrote to AG Garland to let them know the state won't help enforce the #PistolBrace rule.
"Our right to keep and bear arms is integral to Montana’s and our nation’s rich heritage. That's why we prohibited the enforcement of federal gun bans in… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Montana isn't alone in following Step 4 of James Madison's blueprint to stop the pistol brace rule - without waiting on the feds to stop themselves.
MO, AZ - and maybe even ID as well - all covered in this episode of Path to #Liberty
Ultimately, the way to nullify the #pistolbrace rule - and all attacks on the #2ndAmendment for that matter - is for the people to learn how to exercise their rights whether the government likes it, or not.

June 12, 1775 - The British make an offer: Give up your guns and give up your friends - and we’ll give you peace? No deal for gun control said the Patriots. And it’s an attitude modern Americans would do well to heed. @michaelboldin
NO DEAL for gun control! Watch the show on @rumblevideo
"Voting the bums out" was never the proper strategy for dealing with a federal government that doesn't stay within the bounds of the Constitution.
And it never will be.
Resist. Refuse to comply. Nullify.
“The truth is, all might be free if they valued freedom, and defended it as they ought.”
-Samuel Adams
For Thomas Jefferson, voting the bums out is for misadministration of the delegated powers, not usurpation:
"in cases of an abuse of the delegated powers the members of the general government, being chosen by the people, a change by the people would be the constitutional remedy"

"The stock market crash in 1929 provides an excellent example of how an emergency or crisis can be used to revolutionize a society permanently and destroy liberty and well-being in the process." @JacobforLiberty
The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act of June 1930, raised American tariffs to unprecedented levels, which practically closed our borders to foreign goods. This was the crowning folly of the whole period from 1920 to 1933 and the beginning of the real depression - Hans F. Sennholz
