The Anti-Modi Gang is organising an event in US named ‘Howdy Democracy’ which is being termed as a night of music, conversation and to also show concern for Indian democracy.

The event is being conducted on 21 June at City Winery in NYC

According to the website of @CityWineryNYC, “Essentially, this is a gathering that highlights the growing concern about India – the world’s largest “democracy” – as it moves steadily towards autocracy.”

Interestingly, the event will coincide with the Yoga Day celebrations, led by PM Narendra Modi at the UN headquarters in New York.

Just by the event's name, one can understand the intentions of those organising it.

It’s a play on the name of an earlier event “Howdy Modi” which was attended by PM Modi & former US Prez Donald Trump in Houston.

The event will see live performances, video appearances from comedians & several speakers.

The website says about these speakers, “who have suffered first-hand the impact of repressive laws and the erosion of human rights in India”.

Both of them need no introduction and Swara Bhaskar is not new to attending shady events abroad.

The guest list is full of individuals known for their anti-Modi stance.

“Howdy Democracy” is actually a fundraiser event for three organisations.

Can you guess the name of these 3 orgs?

All three orgs, particularly IAMC, have been involved in anti-Indian lobbying.

Members of HfHR and IAMC also had coordinated certain events of Rahul Gandhi in US.
