Time to reveal everything there is to know about @McDonalds “As Featured In” campaign. Spoilers ahead. Thread below.
2/10 It is McDonald's biggest campaign to date, available in 100 markets, including 24 timely & timeless global IPs. The idea is simple: "everyone has a McDonald's order, even in the fictional world." We saw the idea for the first time on March 2nd, 2023. It's been a wild ride.
3/10 The packaging is an exclusive edition only available this month. Our cups, bags, fry boxes include the list of some of the key IPs we were featured in, such as Coming to America, Fast and Furious, The Office, Space Jam, Loki or The Devil is a Part Timer! and many others.
4/10 On each packaging, there will be a QR code taking you to an interactive experience where you can watch some of the key scenes where @McDonalds was featured. And direct access to the Palace collab. Will start 8.14.
5/10 The Sweet’n’Sour Sauce takeover by Loki just makes sense : this is probably a good description of the main character personality and it is featured in the menu board in the show. Sweet'n'Sour is one of the OG sauces launched in 1983 alongside McNuggets nationwide roll-out.
6/10 But it’s not all, fans will be able to scan the Loki inspired sauce via snapchat to unlock some exclusive content. And maybe if you check every week, you’ll see new content each time...
7/10 The campaign is also going to take over our US restaurants in a cool way, with iconic posters. One of my fav things is the crew t-shirt, making our crewmembers the stars of the show, following the same construct : “the McDonald’s crew” as featured in + IPs. Including Loki.
8/10 The collab with Palace is also a part of the As Featured in campaign since Palace has consistently talked about us in their “iconic” descriptions associated to their collections. I cannot wait to wear it.
9/10 As you've all noticed, the roll-out of the campaign is built like a movie release. Teaser. Trailer. Movie poster. Stills. And as expected our “movie” (fancy name for our commercial) will be out on 8.14. And there might be new footage of some of your favorites shows in there.
10/10 See you 8.14. It's been an absolute honor exchanging with so many fandoms today. Loki communities, Wong-Kar Wai fans, Michael Scott aficionados, Sadao stans, Palace enthusiast and McDowells customers and so many more. We might have one or two other surprises.

McValue is the platform encapsulating every effort from McDonald's to be more affordable for our fans and give you all more than you expect.
The main benefit is a brand new "buy one, add one" for one dollar system, available every day even at breakfast, on fans' favorite items :
- Breakfast : Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns
- Rest of Day : 6-pc. McNuggets, Double Cheeseburger, McChicken, Small Fries
The flexibility allows you to recreate your own mini-meals, as you can decide to order two McChicken, or a McChicken and small fries, while still benefiting from the Buy One, Add One for a dollar.
As you can imagine there was a lot of consumer testing to support the launch of the platform, and the buy one add one for one dollar across breakfast and rest of day consistently performed extremely high in our research.
I just tried it at the office on my breakfast order in Chicago at the office and it was great, ordering a Sausage McMuffin and a Hash Brown.
On top of this new "buy one, add one" for a dollar available all day long, McDonald's fans will continue to enjoy at least for a few more months the $5 meal deal within our McValue platform.
It was planned to be a one month promotion back in July 2024, but the consumer response has been so strong that both the company and franchisees have been working together to keep it as long as possible on the menu.
From 11.18 until end of year, Doodles is taking over 100,000,000 McDonald's coffee cups, small, medium and large, to create the most beautiful and fun holiday cup we've ever had.
Yes, you read that right, 100 million cups.
The collaboration does not stop there, as you will be able to receive access to a few special things, ONLY by ordering through the app. Like access to stream the Doodles movie, or an exclusive collection of McDonald's x Doodles digital apparel for your Doodles avatar.

1/7 On 2.26, McDonald's becomes WcDonald's, as an hommage to the name used for decades in mangas & anime to refer to McD.
New logo, japanese name, flipped arches, it's WcDonald's now.
2/7 It comes with exclusive packaging, WcNuggets and a new WcDonald's sauce with quite a spicy kick. Crew Members will also have a dedicated tshirt celebrating the travel into the WcDonald's world.
