Wow! Unreported 1,000,000-word Maidan massacre trial verdict corroborates my academic studies by stating as its “categorical conclusion” that there were snipers shooting from Maidan-controlled Hotel Ukraina & that it cannot be ruled out that 8 protesters were killed & 20 wounded by “unknown persons,” who were not "law enforcement officers." This implies Maidan snipers since the verdict states that the trial disproved claims about presence of Russian snipers.
The verdict also confirms my study findings that there is no evidence of order given by Yanukovych or his ministers to massacre Maidan protesters and that 4 police officers were killed & 39 wounded by Maidan-snipers. In addition to acquitting two Berkut policemen for killing and wounding protesters, it states that all accused Berkut members were baselessly blamed for killing 13 & wounding 29 Maidan protesters. As usual there are zero media reports.
Prosecution, Maidan lawyers, media with some exceptions, self-proclaimed experts & propaganda peddlers denied shooting by snipers located in Maidan-controlled Hotel Ukraina & called it conspiracy theory.

The massacre of Maidan protesters and the police on 20 February 2014 was a turning point in Ukrainian politics. This mass killing led to the overthrow of the Ukrainian government and spiraled into a civil war in Donbas, Russian military intervention in Crimea and Donbas, the Russian annexation of Crimea, and conflicts between Ukraine and Russia and between the West and Russia that Russia drastically escalated by launching its illegal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. This article proposes and tests the moral hazard theory of the state repression backfire. Content analysis of synchronized videos, testimonies by several hundred witnesses, confessions by 14 self-admitted members of Maidan sniper groups, and bullet hole locations show that both the police and protesters were massacred by Maidan snipers located in Maidan-controlled buildings and areas. Content analysis of synchronized videos revealed that the specific time and direction of shooting by Berkut policemen, who were charged with the massacre, did not coincide with the killing of specific protesters. Maidan massacre trial verdict confirms my study finding that this Maidan protester [Zherebnyi] was killed from Maidan-controlled Hotel Ukraina: "The gunshot wound was inflicted on PERSON_1852 from the direction of the Hotel "Ukraina", that is, from the territory that was not controlled by law enforcement agencies at that time. This shot was aimed at a crowd of people." Maidan massacre trial verdict that 31 Maidan protesters were killed & 44 wounded with involvement of convicted in absentia 3 special Berkut company members is based on fabricated forensic ballistic examination. My synchronized video appendix shows that single match in this examination to Kalashnikov of convicted Berkut member (Abroskin) is falsified since this policeman was filmed not shooting during wounding of this protester (Kolesnikov), who testified that he was shot from Hotel Ukraina. Government ballistic expert determined that this protester was shot from top of this hotel based on bullet holes in chair that this protester was shielding with from Hotel Ukraina snipers & his steep wound. Synchronized video shows that at the very time of his wounding on bridge, protesters hiding beneath bridge pointed to snipers in Hotel Ukraina shooting protesters on this bridge.

This online video appendix with English-language subtitles shows how Maidan protesters were shot from Maidan-controlled buildings and areas during the Maidan massacre in Kyiv in Ukraine on February 20, 2014. The manifest and latent content analysis in this video compilation along with on-site investigative experiments by government ballistic experts, results of forensic medical examinations conducted for the prosecution, and testimonies of wounded Maidan protesters and eyewitnesses visually demonstrates how seven Maidan protesters were shot by snipers from Maidan-controlled buildings or areas. It also shows that the Berkut policemen, who are charged with their shooting, could not physically shoot them. These Berkut policemen were filmed not shooting at that time and/or bullet holes locations and wound directions show that protesters were shot not from the front and ground directions of the Berkut barricade positions in front of them but from steep directions from sides or the back that match Maidan-controlled buildings or buildings in Maidan-controlled areas.
The video appendix examines the shooting of Ihor Dmytriv, Andrii Dyhdalovych, Mykola Dziavulsky, Serhii Kemsky, Sviatoslav Kolesnikov, Roman Kotsiubynsky, and Yuri Parashchuk. These cases are selected because the government investigation in Ukraine, the SITU Research 3D model by a New York architectural company, and the major Western media, such as the BBC, the CNN, the Independent, and the New York Times, misrepresented the shooting of these protesters and presented them as definite evidence of the massacre of all protesters by the Berkut police or the government forces. The cases are also selected because they include videos of the shooting and positions of the policemen, testimonies of wounded protesters or eyewitnesses and because ballistic examinations of bullets determined that many other protesters were killed and wounded from the same firearms.
The video appendix shows that the government investigation in Ukraine, the SITU Research 3D model, and the major media, such as the BBC, the CNN, the Independent, and the New York Times misrepresented the shooting of these protesters. The synchronized video compilation visually demonstrates that the government investigation, the SITU Research 3D model, and the major Western media in essence imply that these Maidan protesters were shot by invisible Berkut policemen flying in the air with invisible Kalashnikov assault rifles and/or by their bullets flying like guided missiles.
The government investigation publicly denied presence of any snipers in the Hotel Ukraina, the Bank Arkada, and other Maidan-controlled buildings and areas. The studies by the author, results of the government investigation, and testimonies of snipers and commanders of all government units of snipers at the Maidan massacre trial showed that there were no government snipers in these and other buildings in the massacre area during the time when these six protesters were shot. Verdict: "Moreover, fatal gunshot wounds to the body (chest and abdomen) were received by PERSON_1770 from the side of the hotel "INFORMATION_161" and the area in front of it, which were not under the control of law enforcement agencies, and hence the involvement of the accused and RSP fighters in them, and as a result, the death of the victim, is excluded."
