In my graphic, I illustrate some of the vacant and derelict sites and the 4,666 entire Airbnb houses/apartments in Dublin City. According to Ireland's November 2023 homeless report, there is a record-breaking number of 13,514 people, including 4,105 children, who are accessing emergency accommodation. Amid Ireland's Housing Crisis, almost half of the apartments in the Capital Docks 190 apartment build-to-rent tower development (some of the apartments advertised at €306 per night) remain unoccupied. The social housing allocation for this development is located 4 miles away in Rialto. My graphic depicts the 4-mile journey, highlighting the vast amount of vacant and derelict sites and some of the 4,666 Airbnb houses/apartments available on their short-term letting platform for Dublin City.

The minimum stay for these apartments is 14 nights, so that'll be €4,284.
