Excellent question: How did Anat, who had no journalism experience, and her 24 yr old co-author Adam Sella (nephew by marriage) come to lead a front page investigation?

I will try to answer.

Her first article in New York Times is on Nov 14, 2023.

Image
Image
Quick bio I found: Image
In 2017, she directed a documentary that was originally titled "Dream: Israel" but changed to "La Promise" Image
She apparently joined vault ai in 2020. Image
It seems like a run of the mill data analysis company for clickbaiting.

vault-ai.com/about-us/
Like I said... Image
After Vault AI, she did a short film in 2022.
go2films.com/films/soviet-l…
Image
Now let's get to her co-author, who also didn't write beforehand Oct 2023...
Image
Image
It is her nephew!

This is a post from her husband. Image
Now, Jeffrey Gettleman spent years in Africa and he was interviewed in 2018 by times of Israel. He spews run of the mill anti-islamic bigotry.

google.com/amp/s/www.time…

Image
Image
His book is also reminiscent of neocolonial racism.

africasacountry.com/2017/08/jeffre…
And his quality of reporting is actually much worse than these articles mentions...

He admitted to it. Image
Here is another example of his "journalism" Image
Back to Anat Schwartz, she liked the post that said "Gaza should be turned into a slaughterhouse", well before she wrote her first article fo @nytimes
Image
Image
And now, she approached people for interviews because it was important for Israeli advocacy!!!
ynet.co.il/laisha/article…

Image
Image
On top of it @gettleman says it is not his job to "present evidence"
.@Anatschwartz has reactivated her account. But she has purged it of her previous genocidal "likes"
If the shoe were on the other foot, would @nytimes tolerate this from the other side?

Absolutely not.
thecradle.co/articles-id/25…
Image
He was a photographer and not a journalist.

commondreams.org/news/2022/10/0…
How does @nytimes report actual hunger and starvation in Gaza?

Passive tense. Image
@nytimes Israel deliberately blocking aid... is reported with passive tense. Image
I can't find any reports of @nytimes reporting genocidal language used by Yoav Gallant, Netanyahu or anyone else in power.
This is who @Anatschwartz did her documentary film on 😅
Image
Image
This was one of the guys interviewed by the trio.. Roz Cohen was an idf operative who worked as a mercenary in Congo.

google.com/amp/s/www.afri…

Image
Image
Here is a great overview of Roz Cohen as an unreliable witness and a witness who has many conflicts of interests that should have been disclosed by any decent reporter.
Maybe this answers the Anat Schwartz question... ironically an article from @nytimes Image
See @sorayashock was told being Palestinian was a disqualifier. While @Anatschwartz actually reached out to witnesses "for Israeli advocacy "

Maybe if you learned more about Ayatollah Khameini's actions under the brutal US-supported Shah Dictatorship, you wouldn't be waving your jingo-chauvinistic flag

In 1971, Ali Khameinei was placed in the Shah's prisons at the age of 31+
Image
He was tortured extensively in prison. This is from his memoir. But his cellmates confirm every detail Image
Even Western imperial outlets confirm the Shah's brutality.

Mexico just ended the diplomatic relations with Ecuador after Ecuador stormed into the Mexican Embassy to arrest former VP Jorge Glas who was seeking asylum there.

This story is interesting and there is a deep rabbit hole.
In 2017, Ecuadorian VP Jorge Glas was sentenced of corruption for alleged bribes involving Brazilian corporation Odebrecht ( Remember their name! it becomes important) Image
Not long before, Odebrecht again was implicated in the fake corruption scandal involving Lula which was just a judicial coup. Image

I may have solved the Tower-22 mystery!

Also, Why so many hawks in Washington are very panicked about this.

To understand this story, let's go back 20 years to Iraq.

There was a place called the Green Zone being protected by this system called C-RAM.

Here is the video.
C-Ram is supposed to detect signals from US drones and let them in. If they are not US-drones, they should launch a missile at them and destroy them.

Tower-22 was being protected by the C-Ram system.

In 2022, Iran sent Shahid drones to Russia. US sent C-Ram drones to Ukraine.

I'll bite and download the report and use my infamous method of er... reading it carefully...

to see how much of this is true...

Title section looks pretty unpromising.
Image
The First section lists group mods and their "contract numbers" ie.. meaning they were not employees but contractors (unverified by me) paid to do a certain task: deliver a good, make x etc
Therefore, this claim about them being staff is untrue. Image
I will of course check to the best of my ability if these people a) were contractors b) their duties..... but that requires more time

🧵 An examination of Hamas activisties since its founding in 1988.

Methodology: search newspaper archives on by month for Hamas and other related keywords.
In 1989, they kidnapped and killed 2 soldiers

🔻Soldiers are always a legitimate target in a battlefield. Image
🔻Check out this very illuminating diplomatic cable. I feel all of it needs to be read and I cannot summarize it in a tweet.

.@Kanthan2030 displays a pretty common phenomenon I've seen among most people.

People can understand the systems of oppression in their own country, but cannot understand the systems of oppression in other societies, therefore, they cannot interpret data properly.

🧵
When Ben Shapiro or another reactionary complains about "reverse racism." Anyone who isn't a foaming at the mouth reactionary knows to ignore him cause there is no such thing.
In Kanthan's society (Bangalore, which I know very well since it is my home town)
Similarly, when a Brahmin complains about how he is disadvantaged by the reservation system....the best thing to do is an eyeroll, because it is a reactionary who is upset at loss of privileges.
