🧵Starvation & famine in Gaza is a lie: According to UN World Food Programme's own statistics Israel has delivered double the food necessary to feed all Gaza over 170 days of war. Claiming Intentional famine is a lie (like @repAOC) proven by UN’s own metrics. See analysis: 1/11
WFP issued an emergency response report for Gaza in October and specifically noted that 951 metric tons of food can feed 488,000 people for a week. See link for the WFP report and key deta from their report below. 2/ reliefweb.int/report/occupie…
Israel has facilitated delivery of 233,530 tons of food since the war began via 11,065 trucks. It is well documented that Hamas steals aid, but as proven next, the food entering over the whole war is twice the amount needed to meet basic food needs of all Gazans daily. 3/
See calculations below. Israel has delivered 2x the 104,000 tons WFP itself says is necessary to meet food needs of all Gazans for 170 days. Demolishing constant libel by UN entities &NGOs, repeated by media, all intended to pressure Israel to stop the war and saving Hamas. 4/
In recent weeks Israel has been flooding Gaza with food with aid coming from many countries by sea, land & air far more than needed for basic food needs. Claims Israel is still not doing enough is also a lie. On Mar 21 Israel allowed in one day 5x the daily food needed! 5/
Israel has been allowing in food aid meeting basic needs since late October 23. In recent weeks it has been a “flood of aid” as proven by recent daily entries equal to 5x the daily need per UN WFP guidelines. UN's Guterres is clearly unaware of the actual facts on the ground. 6/
It can be proven from numerous videos (example below) and photos that there is sufficient food in most of Gaza. It seems in pockets in the north, which Israel told Gazan to evacuate in October, are seeing difficulty from distribution problems & theft. 7/
Here are other videos, busy food market in Rafah below and in link central Gaza schwarma restaurant serving customers. The extent of the famine libel is massive. It’s a widespread campaign of disinformation to protect Hamas. 8/
Israel remains the only nation in history that has worked to facilitate massive aid into the territory ruled by an entity it's at war with, Hamas – who steal much of the aid. Here a UN official notes that places like Syria in actual need are being neglected. 9/
Reminder that under international law, Israel’s only obligation is to allow third party aid to enter (absolutely no legal obligation to provide aid itself) under rules Israel creates and can be halted if it “fears” Hamas will steal – which it does. 10/
A feature of every comment by UN officials claiming famine is zero hard evidence or statistics (especially) to back up their claim. It’s obvious no matter what Israel does this is a deliberate tactic to help save Hamas. Expect the libel to get louder. END
🧵GAZA FATALITY UPDATE: Hamas issued new list of 50,021 fatalities. Findings: (a) Fatalities age 13-55 are 72% men (b) Teen soldiers confirmed; males=65% of deaths age 13-17 (c) Natural deaths are ~8,300 of total fatalities. (4) IDF targeted combatants; NO genocide. Analysis: 1/
As in prior lists, well known use by Hamas & PIJ of teen combatants as young as 13 is confirmed, with 65% of teen fatalities male. There are ~1,500 excess teen combatants recorded (Silence, of course, from so-called NGOs). Under age 10, fatalities close to 50-50 male/female. 2/
At this point it is certain natural deaths & infant mortality are included in the Hamas fatality list. After 16 months, Hamas and its "Ministry of Health" does not have a hidden separate list of natural deaths. These are ~8,300 since 10/7, based on historical data for Gaza. 3/
🧵IDF's strike on Hamas leader Ismail Barhoum at Nasser hospital was legal, in compliance with Geneva Conventions regarding protection of hospitals, distinction, proportionality & warnings. Claims that strike was illegal willfully ignore evidence and int'l law. Full analysis: 1/
Barhoum was in Hamas' politburo, its main decision making body directing its policy & activities. It's not just Israel who said this; EU put him under individual sanctions for "financing" Hamas “enabling their violent actions,” corroborating Israeli claims. NOT a civilian. 2/
The US has Barhoum listed as a terrorist under program SDGT which is “Global Terrorism Sanctions Regulations” – he is personally listed as part of Hamas, a US designated terror org. Again, corroborating Israeli claims. 3/ sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.gov/Details.aspx?i…
🧵Many anti-Israel biases of the Gaza fatality story are encapsulated in this article citing 50,000 killed. This is willful ignorance on the part of CNN and these journalists. Here is a review of how this article is a gross misrepresentation on many levels: 1/
The Health Ministry IS Hamas. H-A-M-A-S. There is no separate independent entity. The media knows this, everyone knows this, but CNN deliberately obscures this fact. 2/
"Authorities in Gaza" don't just fail to distinguish civilian & combatants, but HAMAS deliberately presents all fatalities as civilian as a core policy of disinformation to sway the media and international opinion. CNN knows this too but does not want to report it. 3/
🧵Hamas’ core war doctrine is the use of human shields to deter attacks against its military assets, see core elements below. Hamas supporters & apologists actively cover up for this strategy with false arguments and fake int’l law. This thread debunks 6 of these falsehoods: 1/
FAKE ARGUMENT 1: "Hamas does not force or direct civilians to shield their military so they don't use human shields." This fake argument misrepresents international law. Geneva says upfront, merely the "presence” of civilians, even if they are unware, violates laws of war.
FAKE ARGUMENT 2: This strange argument was used recently by @peterbeinart, it goes like this: “Everyone does it so who can really fault Hamas. Do you really expect them to adhere to laws of war?" No, we do not. But then the blame for civilian deaths is on Hamas, not Israel.
🧵UNHRC “report” is a new low, a blood libel falsely accusing Israel of “systematic” sexual violence, inverting reality as Hamas committed these crimes. UN disgustingly claims Israel's policy is to rebuild "national masculinity through aggression." Detailed review & analysis: 1/
Report relies on 3 key false claims: (1) IDF targeted women & girls by policy; (2) IDF hit medical facilities by policy to stop female reproduction; (3) IDF had Gazans remove clothes not for security reasons, but as sexual violence by policy. See some report section headings: 2/
The FIRST evidence UN cites to “prove” Israel targets women by policy is CNN video of woman shot in Gaza street. The UN "verified" video does not show who shot her. CNN claims IDF was positioned 200m away but that’s it. No actual evidence in video of anything just conjecture. 3/
🧵Nasty “Purim” article by @PeterBeinart uses 3 common & inane arguments to justify Hamas' use of human shields: (1) All insurgent groups use human shields so we can't expect Hamas not to. Hamas would lose quickly otherwise so it's OK... so civilian deaths are Israel's fault! 1/
(2) IDF also uses human shields with HQ in Tel Aviv. Key differences: HQ is clearly marked as military, is solely military & not co-located with civilian uses. Beinart pretends he doesn’t know all this; he knows the Pentagon is also in a civilian area and not a human shield. 2/
(3) Strawman argument: just because Hamas uses human shields does not mean civilians are "fair game" as Beinart puts it. No one argues civilians can be targeted, but human shields means when targeting Hamas civilians WILL be killed. It does not then mean it's Israel's fault. 3/
