End/ In the huge rise in referral numbers and children & young people distressed about their 'gender' the BBC has a lot to answer for. Other media channels haven't been great, but no other has pushed this agenda on children & young people quite as relentlessly as the BBC.

Gillian Keegan says 16-17 yr-olds should be able to "change their pronouns" with parental consent,
because "people have the right to their own identity" and "at 18 you can do what you want."
Hardly reassuring for parents.
Let's unpick this.

2/ We hear a lot of obfuscating language that obscures the reality, but "changing your pronouns" takes the biscuit. Is that all the teenage girl is doing as she books her double mastectomy? "I'm just changing my pronouns mum, chill!" She'll be 18 by then so it doesn't matter.
3/ It is not the child who uses the pronouns. "Changing pronouns" is a demand on every other child in the school, along with teachers and other parents, to use wrong sex pronouns. A child does not have the right to impose their belief on others (nor does their parent).

Chief exec of @nhscon says there would be "extremely few circumstances" where a woman would be justified in wanting to know the sex of her carer.
What a surprise. The "expert body" involved in this guidance is LGBT Foundation, who can't define 'woman.'

This is a serious failure of duty.
The body that should oversee the care of looked-after children in Scotland has issued a trans policy that will put these vulnerable children in danger of harm.

Children in care were over-represented at GIDS. Looked-after children suffer above average mental health issues, bereavement, sexual and emotional abuse. But @CareInspect ignores the Cass Review's call for caution in diagnosing these children as 'trans.'

This teacher from the Oasis MAT thinks safeguarding is all about challenging the behaviour of non LGBTQ+ pupils and issuing sanctions. 1/
