It is madness that the court has allowed that children can be exposed to unsafe healthcare if their parents can afford to pay for it. The first consideration of a health regulator must be patient safety.

First thoughts on the new RSHE government guidance.

Overall: it waters down key safeguards in the draft guidance and starts off on the wrong foot by identifying 'engagement with pupils' as the first key principle. This subject shouldn't be child-led.

It puts the 'LGBT' back together and frames it as a rights & equalities issue. The wrong framework for children.

Whether it's effective in alleviating ‘gender dysphoria’ is secondary to this (and the evidence already shows the answer is ‘not very.’)

This US independent review is more exhaustive than the Cass Review. It drills down into the language used to mislead and obfuscate in this area of care where scientific, accurate language is critical.

It's unflinching in its honesty about how paediatric gender medicine developed and exposes the "gender affirming" model as the sham that it is.

Some points from the Executive Summary below 🔽 In many areas of medicine, treatments are first established as safe and effective in adults before being extended to pediatric populations. In this case, however, the opposite occurred: clinician-researchers developed the pediatric medical transition protocol in response to disappointing psychosocial outcomes in adults

We don't think there is any possibility that a puberty blockers trial can meet "the normal, rigorous standards of medical science."

We are of the view that a trial would not be ethical and we don't consider this an 'extreme' view.
