NEW 🧵: I'm starting a thread about Judd Hoff, the DFL-endorsed candidate in #HD12B against @RepMaryFranson.
I've published posts recently about #mnleg candidates with violent or disturbing pasts that should raise questions about their ability to effectively serve in office.
Last evening, I learned that the DFL endorsed Hoff to run against Franson. I did some research on Hoff last night and today.
I am stunned by what I learn.
Let's start with a video posted by Hoff on Nov 15, 2023.
In the video, Hoff is calling Rep. Chris Swedzinski's office. Hoff speaks with Caleb Jungling, who works at the #mnleg.
Hoff explains that he's calling because "[he] was digging in Representative Mary Franzen's garbage, and I found an unopened photo greeting card..."
Hoff tells Jungling that Franson "threw [the card] away unopened" that she had received from Swedzinski.
Hoff adds, "She took this and threw it in the trash without opening it. I'm, I got it on my fridge. Now, I live across the street from her, Representative Mary Franson."
Hoff continues, "I just wanted you to know that she threw that beautiful greeting photo in the garbage and didn't even open it two years ago, and I'm calling you because it's the second anniversary of when I found it in the garbage..."
To recap, according to Hoff, he dug through Franson's garbage and found an unopened card. He kept the card for two years and then opened it. He then put the card on his refrigerator at home, which is across the street from Franson's home in Alexandra.
I've been provided with screenshots of Hoff's social media posts. He has posted multiple pictures of Franson's home.
Below is one of Hoff's posts showing Franson's home. In the post, he calls Franson "the anti-christ…"
NOTE: I've blurred the image of Franson's home.
Here's another post from Hoff that he found Franson's cell phone number in her trash.
He initially redacted the last number of Franson's cell phone number but later shared the final number in the post.
NOTE: I've redacted Franson's number from Hoff's post.
Hoff protested outside Franson's home before moving in across the street.
This means Hoff knew where Franson lived when he moved into her neighborhood.
This is very concerning.
Let's transition to legal issues in Hoff's background.
Last evening, I posted that Hoff wielded a 23-inch machete against someone in '20 ->
In '21, he was convicted of Felony 2nd Degree Assault for this crime. mbrdkrb.com/3JgjSLc
I searched for "Judd Bradford Hoff" in Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO).

🧵: This thread about Sen. John Hoffman is comprised of media stories, along with tips that I've received over the last few months.
Back in 2017, MinnPost wrote that "Sen. John Hoffman's actions appear to be a conflict of interest" -> mbrdkrb.com/3J9DArW
Just weeks after the seventh anniversary of MinnPost's story about Hoffman's potential conflicts of interest, the Star Tribune reported today, "Ethics experts question if DFL Sen. John Hoffman tried to promote his official position for personal gain" -> mbrdkrb.com/3U3sB9R
If you compare the stories side by side, it's clear that despite the seven-year distance between the two stories, people continue to raise questions about potential conflicts of interest involving Hoffman.
NEW 🧵: Over the last 25 years, I've heard and seen a lot of bizarre things in Minnesota politics. The story I'm about to share is one of the strangest I've encountered in the last few years. Follow this thread for the details.
On the evening of Thursday, March 31, 2022, a debate was taking place between the #MNGOP candidates for Minnesota Attorney General at Providence Academy in Plymouth, Minnesota. At the same time, a local Republican group was conducting their meeting across town.
A surrogate for @doug_wardlow's campaign was about to address the group of gathered Republicans. The surrogate was introduced as Marisa Colby, and she gave a speech on behalf of Wardlow's campaign. After she was done speaking, it was clear Ms. Colby was angry.
UPDATE: In an e-mail to #MNGOP activists, @MNGOP Chairman David Hann pushes activists toward using electronic balloting instead of paper ballots at the upcoming @MNGOP State Convention. Padgett Communications will provide the electronic voting system, according to Hann.
According to their website, Padgett Communications does work with the Walt Disney Company. Disney has become a lightning rod for many conservative activists across the county. This decision may backfire on the @MNGOP. Read more about Padgett here -> mbrdkrb.com/385mA7t
UPDATE: According to public campaign finance records, Todd Padgett, president of Padgett Communications, is a donor to the Democratic National Committee. Source -> mbrdkrb.com/3kDVSFN
NEW 🧵: #MNGOP activists are concerned about a member of @doug_wardlow’s Big 10 Alliance - Omar Jamal. Wardlow’s campaign listed Jamal in a press release announcing the group in March. Wardlow recently tweeted a group picture after a meeting, but Jamal was not pictured.
An MPR story from 2009 noted Jamal was dishonest on his asylum application in 1998. Read backstory -> mbrdkrb.com/3P1dQQy
Jamal was accused in 2020 of offering a $10,000 bribe to man to falsely claim he was harvesting ballots for Congresswoman Illhan Omar. Read backstory -> mbrdkrb.com/3y7sW0T
NEW: I’ll be live-tweeting updates of the 1:30 PM court hearing in Ramsey County for Larvita McFarquhar, owner of @Havensgarden. This hearing could be very interesting. Read the thread below for background.
@Havensgarden The hearing has started, Judge Sara Grewing is presiding. This is a hearing on the Order to Show Cause…basically a hearing requested by @AGEllison to force compliance with the TRO granted by Judge Grewing.
Kaitrin Vohs, who works for @AGEllison’s office, announced that she is not requesting the confinement of Larvita McFarquhar for her failure to comply with the TRO issued by Judge Grewing. They want McFarquhar fined $250 per violation.
THREAD: Earlier today, The Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board (CAAPB) issued a press release which included the statement that "there is no formal CAAPB policy and process that addresses the potential removal of monuments and artwork from the Capitol grounds."
As I noted in a previous thread, the statement of "no formal CAAPB policy and process" for the removal of a statue from the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol Complex directly contradicts the statements of numerous public officials in Minnesota. Please read below for details.
As detailed by @thauserkstp, on June 10, 2020, at 3:35 PM, @MnDPS_DPS Commissioner John Harrington said he was aware of the threat to the statue. He said the @MnDPS_MSP would meet with protesters "to explain to them the process that is already in existence" to remove a statue.
