"It's not happening."
"It's fake culture war stuff."
"The far right made it up."
"There are about 19 total of them competing across all sports."
🧵Here's a thread of males CURRENTLY competing in ONE sport: women's cycling. 👇
Kylie (Kyle) Small is the current women's singlespeed cyclocross US national champion. He recently took women's podiums for Fort Lewis College at the 2024 collegiate cycling nationals and was named a collegiate All-American.
Catherine (Nicholas) Barnwell has seen a lot of women's podiums recently in road and cyclocross.
Taryn Askew (Todd Downs) races women's BMX. The Bloom, a women's BMX magazine, did a feature on him recently.
Bee (Brandon) Black says his very fast rise through the ranks of women's downhill mountain biking is due to his hard work and talent.
Roxy (Roger) Bombardier races women's road, gravel, and cyclocross.
Sammy Rose (Samuel) Dobroszi raced for many years in the men's field. He's now a women's road cat 2.
Eva (Henry) Lin used to race on the men's squad for San Jose State University. He switched to the women's squad in 2022 and has had MUCH more success! He's pictured here racing in the women's field.
Lesley (Wesley) Mumford often writes about how he's proud of being a "single mom" and his "growth mindset."
Chloe Spritz used to go by Cole Sprague. He races road and cyclocross and has taken lots of women's podiums.
Casey (Michael) Williamson, aka Evelyn Williamson, aka Evelyn Hound, races track, road, cyclocross, and gravel. He was the only member of the 606 Racing women's squad to wear a dress for his feature photo. I wonder why!
"Prim Rose" races women's mountain bike, cyclocross, and road for PDX Dream Team.
Natalie (Nolan) Hibbard-Pelly races on the women's squad for the University of Washington cycling team.
"Abigail" Francis races for the women's squad at Colorado State University.
Averi Firari (David Flaten) used to be an elite men's racer. Now he's a cycling coach and is dabbling in racing "as a woman."
Wren Stark Haven (Ben Haven Taylor) races for Chill Racing.
Jordan Johnson races for Ride or Die Collective. He's a "sprinter."
Tessa (Michael) Johnson seems to constantly be on women's podiums in cyclocross, track, and road.
"Candace" Kennedy-Hess is one of the co-presidents of "women's" team Sturdy Girl Cycling.
Patricia/Patti (Patrick) Flynn races for Half Acre Cycling. The team has both men and women on it, but Flynn only races with the women.
Eva (Matthew) Kloiber races women's road, cyclocross, and gravel.
Henrietta (Henry) Watts switches between the women's category and the non-binary category.
Tara (Todd) Seplavy often has his registration hidden on @bikereg. He gets women's podiums and upgrade points, but somehow never gets so many that he upgrades to cat 2.
Alison (Robert) Roth races in the women's category in mountain bike and cyclocross. He sometimes races in the nonbinary category.
Katheryn (James) Phillips is the women's representative for his local cycling association, MABRA. I'm sure he's really helping to grow the sport of women's cycling!
Arya Elowen (Michael Pillman) raced for several years with men, but for some reason is a women's cat 4.
Zee Mars, aka Zero Mars, races women's road, cyclocross, mountain bike, and track.
Claire (Ivan) Law races women's road, track, cyclocross, and mountain bike.
Jenna (Jimmy) Lingwood races road and cyclocross with elite women.
Kylee (Kyle) Rood used to participate in men's endurance sports. Now he races in the women's or nonbinary category in cyclocross, xc skiing, and skimo.
Erica (Eric) Miller races road and cyclocross for co-ed team Physio Racing. He used to race in the men's category for that team, but now he only races with the women.
Zoey (Zakkary) Marks is a member of men's team D3stroy Cycling Club. His teammates all race against men, but "Zoey" only races with the women.
Sandy (Vincent) Hosey races for Sol Squad, a women's cycling team.
Sylvia Dardenne races for elite Belgian women's team Baloise WB Ladies. He's 50 years old and most of his teammates are in their 20s.
Antonia (Matias) Saelzer races downhill mountain bikes in Chile.
Emil Carr-Ross races in the women's category in ultracycling.
Cara (Cameron) Dixon races gravel and ultracycling events in the women's category. When he gets called out, he often claims the event in question wasn't a race.
Kenzie (Kenneth) Statz competes in women's mountain biking and gravel. His impeccable bike racing makeup is often easy to spot in the women's field.
Tiffany (Trent) Thomas hasn't raced recently but is still listed on the roster for women's domestic elite team LA Sweat.
Carly (Carl) Gauger races mountain bikes in the women's category.
"Sofia" Zarate's team Drang By Olympica includes both men and women. Zarate only races with the women.

As the year comes to a close, here's a thread of males who have won in women's cycling in 2023. 🏆
(Because "This never happens," and "I bet you can't even give me an example," and "How many people can this possibly affect?")
Here's Tiffany (Trent) Thomas on the top step at the Randall's Island Crit.
Tiffany is 47 and has a spot on the women's pro crit team LA Sweat.
Austin Killips is a name that no one would know if he had chosen to compete in his correct sex category, but he has made a name for himself racing against women.
Killips won the GC at Tour of the Gila riding for the Amy D. Foundation women's development team.
Let's take a moment to honor the dads of women's bike racing!
Some have grown children, some share custody, and some have young ones at home.
Somehow, all of them find the time to stand on women's cycling podiums at all different levels.
Incredible!
Tara (Todd) Seplavy has taught his kids the important lesson that you can still hang in the women's P-1-2-3 as a rather out-of-shape 48-year-old cat 3 as long as you put in the effort (and are male).
Inspiring!
Jillian (Jonathan) Bearden and Jenna (Jimmy) Lingwood both have masters national championship titles in the US.
The wives of Bearden and Lingwood don't have any national titles. Their kids are learning that dads can do anything they set their minds to*!
It's encouraging to see media coverage of Austin Killips wrongly taking the women's win at @TouroftheGila.
This is happening at every level of cycling. Whether or not the male wins is irrelevant. At any level, women's sports are for women.
Examples from this week⬇️:
Tara Seplavy (Todd) raced in the women's P/1/2/3 at the Daniel Harwi 35th Annual Lower Providence Spring Classic Crit.
"Prim Rose" raced in the women's 4/5 at the Monday night Portland International Raceway race. Rose reported feeling "so powerful" all throughout the race - wow!
I won't tell you which one Prim Rose is - you'll have to try to figure it out.
Former mediocre male racer who quickly had success after transitioning to the female category. Raced with the pro women at the Colorado Classic. Masters national champion. Colorado state Champion.
Austin Killips
Went from never having raced bikes to racing at the elite level in women's road and cyclocross in just a few years. 3rd at the US National Cyclocross Championships in the women's elite. Raced @UCI_CX World Cup in Europe.
