Chicken Soup for C0vid? Think it's ridiculous?

🧵. Chicken soup for Covid. Not for the soul because the CDC is sucking the essence of that with their FUCKING policies
It's from this October 29, 2025 story on Fox News, about the alarm that the CDC and parents are expressing over the rise of respiratory diseases in preschool age children.

PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN.

foxrgv.tv/unprecedented-…Unprecedented Rise in Respiratory Illnesses among Children: The CDC Raises Alarm
On October 18, 2024, the CDC published an alert that Mycoplasma pneumoniae, walking pneumonia, has been high since late spring.

The wee tykes are too young to have been affected by the horrors of immune system deprivation caused by masking.

cdc.gov/ncird/whats-ne…https://www.cdc.gov/ncird/whats-new/mycoplasma-pneumoniae-infections-have-been-increasing.html
The articles spawned from this alert are... everywhere.

But not a single one....

google.com/search?sca_esv…Newspaper articles from here.
Not one single article considers the effects of C0vid on children's immune system.
Yet, it is well known they each VOC, like Delta ,& Omicron, can have different manifestations. Meanwhile, the features of VOCs in children have not been well characterized, probably owing to the milder clinical manifestation and lower prevalence of COVID-19 in children compared with adults. Recently, a rapid increase in croup cases in children was unexpectedly observed during the Omicron surge, suggesting a novel feature of Omicron VOC in children.7,8
This includes significant differences in the immune system This study observed significantly different proportions of leukopenia, lymphopenia and neutropenia during pre-Delta, Delta and Omicron waves. Lymphopenia, neutrophilia and thrombocytopenia are common hematologic findings of COVID-19 documented in adults, and the extent of lymphopenia and thrombocytopenia is known to be associated with disease severity.20,21 Most children with COVID-19 have normal leukocyte counts, and previous reports indicate that lymphopenia is observed in 16%–30% of children with COVID-19, while neutropenia is seen in approximately 23.3%.22,23 Our study revealed a compar...

We also know that COVID is considered to be The Autoimmune Disease - as in COVID causes it.

We also know of how COVID affects the immune system for adults. In children, this remains barely touched.

But if I were writing those articles, I would discussjournals.lww.com/pidj/fulltext/…
that immunity theft.

As opposed to the immunity debt silliness coming from France.

I find it amusing to see that THEY CALLED FOR NPIs to be used to protect very small children. Isn't their theory that it is NPIs how we got into this mess?

sciencedirect.com/science/articl…Image
An excellent debunking of the hygiene hypothesis is below.

Because at its core, that's what immunity debt is.

publichealth.jhu.edu/2022/is-the-hy…
Finally, besides often mentioning immunity debt, those articles share a silliness on preventing the spread. Like:

“Chicken soup yourself, back up to good health and then go out afterwards.”" Preventing the Spread Esper suggests that those who are sick can help slow the spread of any illness by covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands frequently, and staying home when sick. The advice is simple: “Chicken soup yourself, back up to good health and then go out afterwards.”

An interesting way to get stunning dry rub on (off) transfer of any design onto your boring white N95.

As always fit test after.

Need a laser jet printer.
These types of label sheets.

How-to:

This would be excellent on an N95.

Do you think Bonnie Henry would like this, @amandalhu ? Wash hand logo.
@amandalhu Fun for this time of year. I voted sticker.

#EBVis airborne update.

EBV found in air sampling directly from the lungs.

webthesis.biblio.polito.it/17636/46.8% observed using nasal swabs; Carpagnano et al. [37], on the contrary, we were able to detect Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and Citomegalovirus (CMV) DNA in the EBC with real-time PCR assay, two viruses which are indicative of lung cancer, if are present in the respiratory tract; the results obtained with EBC analysis have comparable sensitivity and specificity of the results obtained with the bronchial brushing fluid samples analysed with the same essay; with the EBC analysis, it was also possible to evaluate the presence of HPV DNA in the respiratory tract and the results were perfectly ov...
Found in air sampling from airplanes - despite the HEPAs.

Huge study from THE Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

dataverse.jpl.nasa.gov/dataset.xhtml?…As shown in Figure 4.1-1, samples collected aboard Flight 2N yielded no detectable viruses above the lower threshold (375 virion copies). However, samples from flight 2-R-N demonstrated low and persistent, but barely detectable levels of VZV and EBV (Figure 4.1-2). Coronavirus was also detected, but the levels were below the reliable range of detection. For flights 3-L and 3R-L, there were scarce levels of VZV, most of which was below the reliable limit. Sample 3R-L-9 was the only sample from these two flights having a detectable level of EBV (Figure 4.1-4). Coronavirus was not found in...

Inevitably, some silly IPC person will discover this thread, @BarryHunt008, and whine about RNA, visible virus being cultured.

Which is interesting.

PCR is good enough for swabbing.

But not for air?

Despite aerosol expert after aerosol expert telling In clinical diagnostics, the use of PCR for diagnosing the presence of a causative agent has been well established and is in routine use in clinical diagnostics for various diseases, e.g. encephalitis (such as herpes simplex, varicella zoster, enterovirus, human herpesvirus 6, West Nile virus and JC virus, to name but a few) and blood-borne virus infections (such as with hepatitis B, hepatitis C, cytomegalovirus and Epstein-Barr virus, dengue virus and HIV), without the requirement to demonstrate independent viral viability in each case before a diagnosis is made and any necessary treatmen...

Getting closer to 1918, folks.

Scientists isolated #H5N1 from the eyes of a dairy worker, and it efficiently infected alveolar epithelial cells.

Those alveoli cells are deep in your lungs, and are the primary
location where the smallest aerosols end up being inhaled to.

It infected LESS EFFICIENTLY in corneal epithelial cells. The eyeballs.

A/Texas/37/2024 (huTX37-H5N1) is the technical name.

Did you know ferrets are a great respiratory model for us humans?
So, seeing it kill 5 of 6 ferrets?

Not good. Despite causing mild disease in the infected worker, huTX37-H5N1 was lethal in mice and ferrets and spread systemically with high titres in respiratory and non-respiratory organs. Importantly, in four independent experiments in ferrets, huTX37-H5N1 transmitted via respiratory droplets in 17%–33% of transmission pairs and five of six exposed ferrets that became infected died.

Rest for 6-8 weeks after getting C0VID to help yourself avoid LongCovid.

I wanted better resources on this, so went digging.
This is not a new idea.

Mono comes from Ebstein Barr Virus (and other).

There is a long history of doctors recommending rest for 6-8 weeks to avoid relapse.

C0vid infects even more of the body than EBV. ✅

uclahealth.org/news/article/i…

mayoclinic.org/diseases-condi… Refrain from vigorous activities: Because mono can affect the entire lymph system, including the spleen (located under your left lower rib cage), avoid vigorous activities such as football, soccer or running. Do not play contact sports until at least 6-8 weeks after diagnosis or onset of symptoms. You can do mild exercises such as walking or swimming, as long as the activity doesn't increase fatigue.
Wait to return to sports and some other activities Most signs and symptoms of mononucleosis ease within a few weeks, but it may be two to three months before you feel completely normal. The more rest you get, the sooner you should recover. Returning to your usual schedule too soon can increase the risk of a relapse.

"Mycoplasma pneumoniae is spreading like wildfire in the neonatal population"

In hospitals.

Guess what's airborne and carried asymptomatically by adults AND children?

/1
Mycoplasma pneumoniae is VERY WELL KNOWN to be airborne.

Yet the CDC has never recommended universal masking in children's hospitals.

Want to know why?

Please call the OIG and ask for an investigation.

It gets worse with H5N1.

For a number of reasons, besides the incompetence and mild venality of the USDA leadership ( Vilsack and Deeble).

Starting with....

🧵
Think the already infected cows will have permanent immunity? We can hope for that, but....

Influenza A is "notorious for high variability and rapid evolutionary rates which allows for virus escape from resistant individuals with time. "

bioone.org/journals/water…Image
It mutates FASTER than SARS2. Have we had multiple variants per year with that?

For H5N2, it's part of the reason for the repeated waves since 2014 in European birds.
