1/  📈 WWSCAN Weekly Data

COVID-19: Nationwide, SARS-CoV-2 is in the “Low” category with low concentrations and no significant trend up or down over the last 3 weeks.

2/ COVID-19 Variants: In sequencing data from a subset of WWSCAN sites, we see that the KP family makes up ~66% of variants. KP.1 (lime green) is at 3.8%, KP.2 (slate blue) is at 8.9% and KP.3 (light blue) is at 53.3%. Sequencing data has a lag of 1-2 weeks after collection.

3/ RSV: Nationally and in all regions, RSV is in the “Low” category and not in seasonal onset. However, the rate of detection has increased modestly in the last couple of weeks, especially in the South.

4/ Influenza: Flu A and B are in the “Low” category nationally and in all regions. A few plants recently went into onset for Flu A, especially in the West.

5/ H5 influenza marker: H5 has been detected in 9 states since the start of monitoring - AR, CA, CO, IA, ID, MI, MN, SD & TX. As of 11/7/24, CA, CO, IA, ID, MI, MN, SD, & TX have also had infected cattle herds reported.

6/ EV-D68: EV-D68 is in “High” category nationally with a downward trend the last 3 weeks. It is still in onset & in “High” category in South & West regions. Categories may change as regions near threshold of being onset. In last 10 days, EV-D68 was found in ~61% tested samples.

7/ Norovirus: Norovirus is in the “High” category nationally with high concentrations and an upward trend over the last 3 weeks. Most regions also have high concentrations with an upward trend while the West has seen no significant trend.
