Howard Lutnick just marched Trump’s economic agenda straight into enemy territory—CNN.

Dana Bash tried to play economist and corner him with the usual “tariffs hurt Americans” script.

But Lutnick didn’t flinch.

He pushed back hard—and dropped a stat so staggering, even CNN couldn’t spin it.

🧵 THREADImage
👆And, as always, remember to bookmark this thread.

Lutnick just dismantled the CNN narrative live on air.

Let’s roll the clips and break it down.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick came to CNN with a warning—and a number that stopped the conversation cold.

We cannot afford to continue with the status quo.

“America has a $1.2 trillion trade deficit,” he said.

“That means other people are selling US goods, more than we are selling them. And that’s just not balanced. It’s not fair.”

He didn’t stop there.

“We’re losing $1.2 trillion a year, of which directly and indirectly to China. That’s about $1 trillion.”

For Lutnick, this isn’t just an economic figure—it’s a threat to the country’s long-term strength.

“It’s just unsustainable for $1.2 trillion to be exported to the rest of the world… it’s building them up, and over time it’s taking us down.”

That, he explained, is why President Trump is turning to tariffs, not as punishment, but as leverage.

“The idea is the president wants balanced and fair trade, and tariffs are the tool to create balanced and fair trade.”
Dana Bash wasn’t convinced.

She shifted the focus to inflation, claiming that Trump’s 2017 tariffs had driven up prices for American consumers.

But Lutnick pushed back, turning the spotlight on President Biden’s record instead.

“Oh no no no! Don’t talk about the Biden inflation.”

He reminded Bash—and the audience—that tariffs had already been in place under Trump, and there were no widespread complaints.

“We have 25% tariffs that were set on under President Trump’s first term. I don’t hear a SINGLE word, not a single word about those tariffs—No consumers in America sit here complaining about those tariffs.”

When Bash insisted, “Prices have gone up,” Lutnick responded with a clean rebuke.

“Oh no no no! Don’t talk about the Biden inflation. That’s another whole gig. When we left—President Trump in 2019 had the lowest inflation in history.”

The point, Lutnick said, is that competition works.

“So you know, that this works really, really well. It works well. These countries and the businesses have to compete. They have to cut prices. You’ve seen it.”

Now, back to the story you came for. Image
Bash kept swinging—repeating CNN’s go-to line: “Tariffs are paid by the American consumer.”

Lutnick didn’t just disagree. He dismantled it.

“Well, I disagree with that, you know.”

Bash scrambled to defend herself: “Well… okay. But… many… most economists… I would say, disagree with you on that. We have seen it being passed off time and time again to the American consumer.”

Lutnick didn’t let it slide.

“Don’t buy the silly arguments that the U.S. consumer pays.”

“Businesses, their job is to try to sell to the American consumer, and domestically produced products are not going to have that tariff.”

That’s when Bash asked: “So who’s going to eat the tariff?”

Lutnick answered without hesitation:

“So the foreigners are going to finally have to compete, they’re going to have to compete.”

“What happens is the businesses and the countries primarily eat the tariff.”

Another blow landed.
As the interview wrapped, Lutnick pulled back the curtain on what this fight is really about—and why it matters for the future.

“You saw the rates that were published on Liberation Day. Those countries can take those rates down, if they open their markets to Americans to export!”

He explained the mission: give American businesses a fair shot abroad, or face consequences.

“Let Americans get their stuff on these foreign governments and foreign consumers shelves, and we'll be better as a country.”

For too long, he said, America has played nice while everyone else played dirty. That era is over.

“I think what's happened is we just have never felt the fairness of our ability to export. Finally, the president, the United States is on our side.”

And the momentum, Lutnick said, is just beginning.

“And that's what you're going to see in the UK and then country after country, we're going to announce, like we did with the UK, how many tens of billions of dollars of new opportunity the president is negotiating for American small businesses and medium sized businesses to sell their products overseas.”

He ended with a fearless prediction about the future for the American economy:

“That's the golden age that's coming. And everybody else is going to build in America to get around that tariff. Remember, there's no tariff if you build it in America.”

Vaccines didn’t end infectious disease—engineers did.

Clean water, working plumbing, and the end of sewage in the streets did the heavy lifting.

Then vaccines swooped in and took the credit.

But what about polio? You won’t believe how they sold that miracle to the world.

This report breaks down the biggest lies used to push vaccines—and what really made all those polio cases disappear.

Bill Maher just took a flamethrower to woke Democrats and their anti-American base.

He says they’re doomed if things don’t change soon.

Not only did Maher say the American flag is being disrespected—he delivered a brutal reality check to a certain group of activists.

The Left wasn’t ready for this.

Some people need a reality check, and Maher dropped a good one here.
The show opened with an interview with David Hogg, the youngest person ever elected as a DNC vice chair.

David is not someone most conservatives agree with on much, but he dropped a surprisingly good take on why Democrats are bleeding voters.

The answer? They’re no longer the party of fun.

He got a huge reaction from Bill Maher after saying Democrats need to reconnect with young men who just want to “get laid and have fun” without walking on eggshells.

He said the parties have flipped. Democrats are now the snobs who judge your every move, whereas Republicans are much less rigid.

“What I think happened last election is younger men—they would rather vote for somebody who they don’t completely agree with, they don’t feel judged by, than somebody who they do agree with, that they feel like they have to walk on eggshells around constantly because they’re going to be judged or ostracized or excommunicated.”

And because of that, young men are walking away.

“Nobody is perfect. But ultimately, what we have to do here is figure out how to bring people back in and work towards the bigger goal of advancing the future of this country and helping young people especially get by, so that they’re able to focus on their lives and getting with a young woman or something like that, instead of how are they going to pay their rent, for example, or how are they working their two jobs.

“Young people should be able to focus on what young people should be focused on, which is how to get laid and how to go and have fun.”

Maher clapped, stood up, and shook Hogg’s hand after that comment.

REPORT: Trump has reportedly CUT OFF communication with Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu over “manipulation concerns.”

This move sends a clear message: Trump will not be pushed around—not by foreign leaders, not by war hawks, not by anyone.

It also confirms what we’ve been reporting for weeks:

There’s a growing rift inside the Trump administration between those pushing for war with Iran and those (like Trump) who are determined to pursue diplomacy.

And right on cue… Fox News suddenly gets handed an “exclusive” report about a previously undiscovered Iranian nuclear facility.

The timing couldn’t be more convenient.

@HarrisonHSmith joins the show to discuss. This is a massive development that nobody's talking about.

In other news, a former U.S. housing official says the government secretly built a $21 TRILLION underground city for the ultra-wealthy to survive a “near-extinction event.”

This was revealed by Catherine Austin Fitts on Tucker Carlson’s podcast.

Tucker asked her what the purpose of such a city would be. Fitts replied: “The purpose is if you thought you were going to get a near-extinction event.”

Her claims were corroborated by Michigan State University economist Mark Skidmore, whose team uncovered $21 trillion in undocumented federal spending between 1998 and 2015.

So the question remains: What exactly are they preparing for, and why hasn’t the public been told?

This raises way more questions than answers.

This was a SMACKDOWN.

The media came to the White House press briefing today armed with networks talking points.

They came to spin, smear, and sabotage Trump’s latest moves.

But Karoline Leavitt was ready—locked, loaded, and armed with the truth.

She didn’t just clap back…

She torched their entire narrative on live TV.

🧵THREADImage
👆And don’t forget to bookmark this thread—because what you’re about to see is a masterclass in media narratives crumbling in real time.

These moments won’t make it to the mainstream.

Let’s break it down.
The media onslaught began the moment Karoline Leavitt opened the floor at the White House press briefing.

One reporter wasted no time, suggesting Trump’s upcoming trip to the Middle East was less about diplomacy and more about personal business.

He hasn’t even landed in Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., or Qatar—but they were already implying he was using the presidency for private gain.

“Is the president planning to meet with folks involved with any of the family businesses over there?” the reporter asked.

Leavitt cut the question off before it could gain steam.

“Not to my knowledge,” she said.

Then she fired back at the entire narrative.

“I think it’s frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that President Trump is doing anything for his own benefit.”

She reminded the room what Trump gave up to serve the country—twice.

“He left a life of luxury and a life of running a very successful real estate empire for public service. Not just once, but twice.”

And she made it clear why the American people sent him back to the White House.

“The American public reelected him back to this White House because they trust he acts in the best interests of our country and putting the American public first.”

Leavitt then highlighted what the media never admits:

“This is a president who has actually lost money for being president of the United States.”

She ended with a pointed comparison.

“I don’t remember these types of questions being asked of my predecessor about a career politician who was clearly profiting off of this office.”

Germany is on the brink of national suicide—and it’s no accident.

What was once Europe’s economic powerhouse is now unraveling under green delusions, open borders, and paralyzing deindustrialization.

Victor Davis Hanson reveals the one party trying to save the nation from this nightmare.

But the elites just labeled them “extremists” for telling the truth.

🧵THREADImage
Victor Davis Hanson opened with a warning—and it wasn’t subtle.

This week, Germany’s only major right-wing opposition party, Alternative for Germany (AfD), was officially labeled an “extremist” group by the country’s domestic intelligence agency, the BfV.

The designation sent shockwaves through the political landscape.

AfD immediately challenged it in court, prompting the agency to suspend enforcement while litigation proceeds.

But the damage, Hanson said, has already been done.

This move, he argued, wasn’t about public safety—it was about political control.

“Recently, the German government announced that it is going to label or maybe relabel the Alternative for Deutschland,” Hanson explained.

“The conservative party that has an antithetical agenda both to the German government of both liberal and conservative factions, but also to the EU in general.”

He said the classification ensures AfD will remain on the outside of political power, regardless of how many people support them.

“It will cement this aura that no government under their parliamentary democracy system will ask them to join to form a majority government,” Hanson said.

“So the process of ostracism and demonization of this party continues.”

And for what? The real issue, he said, is that AfD simply offers a different vision.

“The party is advocating an alternative for the way that Germany is going.”
So where is Germany going?

Hanson painted a bleak picture—of economic decline, energy failure, and political denial.

“If you look at what has become of Germany,” he said, “it has had two years of essentially no growth or negative growth.”

He noted the country finally reached its long-delayed NATO defense spending goal, pledging 2% of GDP—something it was supposed to do back in 2014.

But the milestone felt more like a bare-minimum box-check than a serious turning point.

“It just barely did it,” Hanson said.

Meanwhile, Germany has doubled down on green energy while dismantling its nuclear infrastructure, despite the country’s climate not being suited for solar reliance.

The results have been catastrophic.

German electricity costs are now roughly four times higher than those in the United States.

And that’s not just hitting households—it’s pushing away manufacturers and investors who can no longer justify doing business in the country.

“You can see what that’s going to do to German investment,” Hanson warned.
