*If the IRGC dissolves* then Iran quickly goes from costly menace to productive & grateful & useful regional ally (Iraq was different). I’m happy the US is helping Israel prevent them from getting nukes & offing their leadership. But IRGC won’t fold so regime change’d go very bad Image

If anything, helping the mullahs retain their official power might be good for weakening IRGC, bc the mullahs are so unpopular & weak, & bc they can only retain influence by further strengthening the liberal-democratic apparatus & culture, to keep IRGC from taking ever more power
Perhaps that’s ten times “too cute.” But the only thing that matters for actual regime there change is IRGC, & it’s the only actual reason regime change there is an awful idea, & everyone seems to be ignoring it like they ignored consanguinity, Sunni-Shia tensions, etc in Iraq 03
Still: seems like nobody serious is actually pushing regime change; providing Israel equipment etc for these targeted strikes is good by Trump, despite the haters, & despite the fans who say “let’s do regime change;” maybe Khamenei steps down, but if anything that gives IRGC room
I don’t really have political views on this (tho yes avoiding IRGC with nukes is worth Israel spending several US billions on airstrikes, & an attempt at regime change would make Iraq look easy)—If I did, I’d work on it instead of posting. But I care about understanding the world
In fact, I don’t really have political views period, at least on the internet; I just appreciate discourse that’s discursively fruitful. This conflict will never be affected by me, but I can affect my own personal development through it, by making mechanistic predictions about it
& it should go without saying that goodwill, productivity, stability, etc all go bye-bye if IRGC gets excuses to go all-out, including on their home turf, with presumable Russian/Chinese backing (another thing we didn’t really face in Iraq). Terrible idea!
In the unlikely event that this potential operation winds up as regime change rather than targeted limited strikes, & in the unlikely event that regime change somehow winds up working well, my guess is IRGC somehow immediately lost will & capacity to do *anything*—happened w Hezb
Which makes me realize the Hezb news is odd: huge durable paramilitary terror cartel deep state & it just seemingly evaporates after the pager attack—which Google says only killed dozens—& allows the Aoun election to marginalize it; maybe phones mean nobody wants to fight anymore
Seems v unlikely IRGC would fold at all easily—& if anything drones etc from Russia mean it should be even easier than one might otherwise expect for them to unleash total DPRK-but-competent on everyone, conditional on anything like war. But I wouldn’t’ve predicted Hezb folding…

Funds for female celibate orders mostly came from dowries & yielded no breakthrus; funds for male celibate orders were mostly for goods & services & yielded many huge breakthrus. When UK paid a few smart guys to live like noblewomen (vicars) they invented more than all women ever Image

Give capital to boys & they’ll meritocratically & publicly discover the secrets of biology, chemistry, physics, tech, markets, politics, history, geography, etc; give capital to girls & they’ll make nice little knitting & schooling & nursing circles & recreate rigid caste systems
Women are great & important but expecting them to act like men is awful, especially if you hate men. Convents at least solved certain real issues; our new religion pays “nuns” to divorce productive men & steal their money for preening BS, instead of helping them generate sequels.

In this video Mamdani’s friend Yusef Salaam—City Council Rep for Harlem—says this proves that “impossible” contains the words “I’m possible.” Yusef’s political career began when he carried a 14 inch metal pipe into Central Park & hit multiple people over the head with it including a jogger who nearly died while his buddies then raped her. He confessed this to police, multiple of his friends who were there confessed this about him to police (on videotape, with details only the perps could’ve known), & he admitted under oath on the stand at his own trial that he entered the park with his weapon & his friends & that they then began “wilding” on people. When he was sentenced, he read a slam poem about racism to the judge. He appealed because he lied to police about being of age when he was arrested & showed them a fake ID “proving” this, so they asked him about his crime & he incriminated himself without his parents present; his appeal was rejected. He served 6 years behind bars, then was paid over $7 million because politically connected people in NY politics thought arresting violent blacks was “racist” & another guy who was already behind bars for life separately confessed to raping the jogger, so supposedly this proved Yusef couldn’t have done anything wrong. Yusef then got sweet sinecures at Cornell & on the board of the Innocence Project—helping thugs like him get away with brutal crimes—& got elected to the City Council several years ago & was invited with his fellow Central Park rapists to speak at the 2024 DNC about how racist the supposed rapist Donald Trump was for saying they were guilty & should be executed instead of getting let out so they can keep ruining our country.
Btw Yusef was already released & done with parole by the time he was “exonerated.” He was convicted of assault, robbery, riot, & sex abuse—all in the 1st degree—& only had to go away for 6 years as a result, & then was released even tho the state still said he was guilty. Insane!
“So you just ran around beating random decent white people up with lead pipes & robbing & raping them for no reason with your friends in the most valuable real estate in the world. & you got easily convicted. 6 years in time-out on our dime, in conditions comparable to your home”

Djinn-brain & woman-brain cargo-cult slave morality, by arguing that impersonal forces (not personal authorities) aren’t “fair” or “nice”: “inconvenient” male desire is sexist, but so is “inconvenient” male reaction to female desire; obesity’s racist, & so is accepting that fact.
The mating market makes impersonal forces out of personal desires because it’s not each woman arguing for better treatment from one particular man, but arguing with aggregate incentives & opportunities to be different; “werewolves must match with fats,” not “hubby should be nice”
The issue is that woman- & djinn-brained peoples are inherently domestic, so they anthropomorphize any impersonal forces they face. Like how boys play with toy trucks & girls with toy dolls & primitives with totems. Boys imagine themselves as things, girls imagine things as them.

In the UK in the last 50 years the 2 famous black riots 100% backfired (1981, 2011) but the 2 famous issue riots (1990, 2010) 100% won: Poll Tax riot reversed signature ToryWave reform & forced Thatcher out; tuition riot ended LibDems & moved cohort to Corbynism. White riots work
There was minor resistance to Poll Tax in Scotland before but riot was big surprise to everyone & immediately caused immediate 20+ point poll swing away from big ToryWave & avalanched nonpayment movement til Thatcher quit (& polls swung 20+ points back to Tories). The riot worked
Likewise 2010 riot on ToryHQ for getting LibDems to break election pledge & back fee hikes caused youth support for LibDems to durably plummet (from ~45% to ~10%), & seats to plummet 57 to 8; policy triggered it, but without riots etc it wouldn’t have had such sticking power etc.

All the dumb social conformity views are based on the same failure of object permanence: grocers & insurers are where I pay for food & health, so they’re at fault for price increases; the police just arrest people, so they’re just mean, & I don’t see prisons, so they’re pointless
If you lack object permanence & live online, then etiquette about interfaces is all that matters, & there’s nothing of note under the hood. & discourse platforms select for discourse that prioritizes discourse over action, & demotism selects for do-nothings looking down on doers.
& so “we” anthropomorphize inflation into “greed,” corporations into “fatcats,” groceries into rudely hiking prices for no reason on us (when their inputs happen to cost more). Prison means the gods of being mean just meanly define thugs as criminals. & so We judge ourselves Good

Women’s preferences are particularly influenced by social status, which worked great when they were currency for judging men on (masculine) standards. But all our standard-setters feminized hard at once—HR, unis, therapy, admissions, etc—which means our standards are all unmoored
Women are great at judging how confident charismatic etc guys are at adhering to given standards—which women unthinkingly adopt; & this fair loyal personal judgment is great—but making women set standards is like making customers set prices & businesses pick customers. Backwards!
Women’s talent is emotional-relational judgment, & men’s talent is propositional-agental thought. But feminism means that women go hard into fields where they professionally deploy emotional-relational judgment, & that everyone has to pretend this is propositional-agental thought
