Most people miss the signs, or assume they’re just a part of “getting older”.
And it gets worse:
Most doctors only check TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone), which is not enough. You can have a “normal” TSH, and yet dysfunctional thyroid.
Here’s what you must do:
2/ Get A Proper Test
This must include:
• TSH – Should be very low (<1.0)
• Free T3 & T4 – Active thyroid hormones
• Total T3 & T4 – Shows real thyroid output
• Reverse T3 – Blocks metabolism when high
• TPO & TG Antibodies – Detect autoimmunity
Once you have the results:
3/ Interpret The Results
Most common dysfunctions are:
• Hashimoto's (autoimmune disease, underactive thyroid)
• Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid ⇒ too little T3 & T4)
• Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid ⇒ too much T3 & T4)
That's why we test T3 & T4, not just TSH.
Now that you know:
1) Whether you have a thyroid problem or not 2) Whether your thyroid is overactivated or underactivated
It’s time to start the healing.
More often than not, thyroid problems are just symptoms of deeper issues—most common of them being chronic stress…
4/ Escape The Chronic Stress Cycle
When you’re caught in a stress loop:
• Cortisol blocks T4 → T3 conversion
• You run on adrenaline instead of real energy
• Your metabolism and thyroid function slow down
This results in chronic fatigue and brain fog.
But it gets worse…
Chronic stress leads to immune dysregulation.
This can trigger or worsen autoimmune thyroid diseases like Hashimoto’s or Graves’.
As a result, your immune system gets even weaker, your body gets even more stressed—and the cycle continues.
How do you break free?
You must fix the root cause, not just the symptoms.
Unless you remove chronic stress, your thyroid problems will keep coming back, over and over again.
