Hot take: @tempo will be great for @Ethereum and terrible for @stripe.

Stripe is about to spend millions onboarding banks and institutions into a unified standard: EVM RPC. Right now they run on 100s of fragmented, legacy tech stacks. Stripe is about to send 1000s of sales reps and technical AMs to upgrade them.

Stripe effectively lowers the switching cost to Ethereum to near zero. And when switching costs collapse, the open ecosystem wins and stripe is rekt.

In the short term, Stripe extracts some enterprise value. In the long run, they’re paving the way for their own disintermediation.Image

I want to shed light on a few questions that I think have been whitewashed by the #Ethereum community over past couple of weeks.

While I'm extremely excited the Merge is happening, I'm also extremely worried we have not answered CRITICAL questions.

esp in light of recent news
Start with the big, current one.

Currently it looks like over 66% of the beacon chain validators will adhere to OFAC regulations, @LidoFinance @coinbase @krakenfx @stakedus @BitcoinSuisseAG
And while PBS is meant to prevent validators from censoring specific TX, i somehow believe @coinbase will find a way to make sure it doesn't validate a block with T0rnado TXs

Talking about @dYdX moving to a dedicated @cosmos chain, some mid bell curve salty about it ditching Ethereum, others claimed DYDX doesn't think Ethereum scales, most don't really understand what is going on. Image
If you've been in the industry for more than a half a cycle you understand that most innovations do not arise from solving user problems, but from solving legal problems
During my talk in @EthCC last year (still🧂I'm not speaking this year) i got into a debate with someone in crowd who has helped some of the biggest DAOs and most successful dApps back then (and today) design their governance structure.

This person was a top tier lawyer

-Chainalysis runs @ElectrumWallet servers
-If you connect to a Chainalysis server they download+log your addresses
-Avoid mobile wallets

-With @coinjoin and @wasabiwallet company viability is very low.
-Probable ISP connections in EU

-Probably 100s caught by law enforcement using their tech

--most Exchanges don't share KYC, but UserIDs
-LN makes tracking difficult
