"Synagogue attacker who killed two was a ‘terrorist targeting Jews because they are Jews’, says Starmer"

Netanyahu's government, is committing genocide in Gaza, because the Palestinian residents of Gaza, aren't Jews. That is a fact.

1/🧵theguardian.com/uk-news/live/2…
I condemn anti-Semitism, and the type of hatred that led to this mindless violence, as much as I condemn the Zionist hatred of Palestinians. Mindless violence and hatred, is mindless violence and hatred. It's not about sides.
2/
My point is not whataboutery, or relativism. It's to ask why has Keir Starmer gone to such lengths, not to condemn Netanyahu's terrorisim, and genocide in Gaza? Constantly denying it's genocide, and uttering meaningless inanities, like Israel has got a right to defend itself.
3/
I have no problem in condemning real anti-Semitism, (not fake anti-Semitism, to smear anyone condemning Israeli government apartheid policy). No one should be targeted because of their religion or ethnicity. No one.
4/
As @GretaThunberg would say, you can't be selective in what sort of violence you condemn, what flavour of hatred and social injustice you condemn. Either you condemn all of it, or you are fake, hiding your malignant agenda.
5/
I have repeatedly condemned the 7 October attack, and Hamas. I hold no truck, with violent religious extremists of any side. But despite repeatedly saying that today, I was accused of being anti-Semitic, engaging in blood libel, and supporting Hamas.
6/
The problem is this, either you are for us or against us mentality. I don't support any side, any ideology. I support only social justice for all, and combatting ecocide, that is destroying life on Earth, and the sustainability of our civilization.
7/
My point here, is that Keir Starmer, is hardly neutral on this. He has not been at all even-handed about the violent genocide, and mass killing of civilians and children in Gaza, who are nothing to do with the 7 Oct attack.
8/
I'm appealing for proper unity and cooperation, not partisan hatred, where a perceived enemy is attacked, just because of their identity, or they are in the way of someone's agenda, to get rich, at the expense of others, the majority. That's what the climate crisis is about.
9/
The Jewish people are not Netanyahu's government, and nor are the Palestinian people, Hamas.

What we see is various power players, vested interests and unscrupulous politicians, playing people off against each, in divide and conquer tactics, hiding behind dishonest rhetoric.
10/
They are playing the people off against each other, to stop people seeing who is really exploiting us, and enriching themselves at the cost of everyone else, and life on Earth. Listen to @GretaThunberg, not me.
11/
Finally, people will say I'm a hypocrite, because I hate the rich and powerful. No I don't hate them for what they are, but I hate what they are doing to most people, and to Mother Earth, our actual mother - not a metaphor, as she nurtures and sustains us.

Everything we need to know about the climate and ecological crisis, was in the early speeches of @GretaThunberg.

We go wrong looking for complicated explanations, when the simplest, can be the trues. It was the finest analysis ever.
1/🧵
Greta got everything right. She said it was being driven by a few people, solely focused on getting incredibly rich. 100% accurate.
2/
Greta said change is coming whether you like it or not, again, 100% accurate.

I want to briefly explain how I make my political predictions, which are much more accurate than other commentators, who are nearly always wrong. Although the intuitive insight bit is less easy to explain. Firstly, I totally ignore received wisdom, and collective belief.
1/🧵
Secondly, I deliberate ignore, rhetoric, with is always deceiving. Not just the person themselves, but what those involved say about them.

Primarily, I look at trends and trajectory, along with past precedent.
2/
Trends are the direction of opinion polls, successes, but intelligently. Can these trends be maintained, are they likely to change direction. The trajectory, is the likely future place it will end up, over different time spans.

"‘There are ripples of hope’: allies of Keir Starmer say he can prove doubters wrong"

This is dangerous Orwellian nonsense. Keir Starmer has breached the boundaries of what is acceptable, for a Labour politician. He has to go.

1/🧵theguardian.com/politics/2025/…
Firstly, and most seriously, because it puts him in breach of international law. He has repeatedly and persistently denied that what is happening in Gaza, is genocide, and has gone to enormous lengths to facilitate it.
2/
His regime, has tried to outlaw protest against the genocide in Gaza, declaring a non-violent, direction action group as terrorists, and then having thousands of peaceful protestors arrested for supporting terrorism. When they simply oppose genocide.

What I was alluding to in this thread, is the way the media fails to hold Trump and others to account. It is as fixed as professional wrestling, where the outcome is decided in advance. The aim is to be seen to be fighting back, when aiming to lose.

1/🧵threadreaderapp.com/thread/1970620…
Journalists, editors know how to expose liars, frauds and incompetents, it's journalism 101. But oddly with Trump, Farage and other powerful bad actors, they suddenly forget how to expose these cheap conmen, liars and frauds. Why?
2/
I will expose how it works. Most well-read people are aware of the concept of plausible deniability, where those at the top, allow those at the bottom to do unacceptable things, through nods and winks, without direct commands, that leave a paper trail.

"Recent studies show that between 80 and 89% of the world’s population wants to see climate action."

The populist right, the representatives of billionaires, want people to believe that no one takes climate change seriously, any longer.

1/🧵theguardian.com/environment/20…
This is classic manipulative gaslighting, and attempted mind control. The idea of the very rich, is to stop people finding out, how many other people care about climate change, so they will conform, and not take it seriously. It's the tail trying to wag the dog.
2/
The reason the very rich don't want people to care about climate change is twofold. First, they have by far the greatest emissions of any demographic, with the top 1% of the richest, producing far more emission, than the bottom 66%.

WTF is going on? The Guardian writes an editorial.

"Trump’s UN speech makes it clear: the world can no longer look to the US for strong leadership"

I write an evidence based thread, showing how to hold Trump to account, and it's totally ignored.

1/theguardian.com/world/2025/sep…
The whole problem, is that the media and commentators are not holding Donald Trump to account over his lies. I used a simple example of how Trump's present position over Ukraine is totally inconsistent with what he has said over the last 9 years.

2/theguardian.com/us-news/2025/s…
Trump's not merely contradicting what he said over the last 9 years, but what Trump said over the last less than 9 months. The top post in my thread got 3 likes and 400 views, and in quite a short thread the other posts got 1 like and 50 views.
