Once again, Twitter/X, seems to be hiding my own posts from me. I was trying to explained the messed up nature of our modern society. We need to understand another systems theory, property, and that is emergent properties.
1/🧵
An emergent property, is where out of a set of parameters of a system, a whole new property emerges, that can't simplistically be understood, from the parts of the system it emerged from. It develops a life of its own.
This has what has happened to our societies. For instance, Donald Trump, delusionally believes, that not only is he in charge of America, but he's in charge of the world. But Trump's dumb machinations, are creating global chaos, which will gobble him up, along with the US.
3/
China, Russia and others have their own agenda, and Don the narcissist was very unhappy he wasn't invited to their party, and military parade. Trump is not the only parade, or power clique in the world. Yet Trump created this, inadvertently.
This is a great example of emergence in action. Where Trump's dumb attempt to run the world and make it all about America, has led to America's opponents, clubbing together, to create an alternative power bloc, that could out muscle the US.
5/
This is another part of the systems problem, unintended consequences. Where Trump's amateur empire building, has created an opponent bloc, which is potentially, much more powerful than America, because it is distributed.
6/
Of course, the biggest set of unintended consequences, is the climate and ecological emergency. In which the machinations of oligarchs competing to get even richer, is inadvertently destroying the liveable system, that facilitates their enterprises.
7/
That's it, the oligarchs, the big powers, have inadvertently created an out of control monster, that will destroy the empires they have created, along with most of humanity, and much life on Earth. This is why I call it a malignancy.
8/
This is what I was trying to describe here. However, a combination of neoliberalism, as this bizarre unbridled support, of Netanyahu's murderous genocidal regime, is creating massive global chaos. Most of the public, are repelled by it.
In other words, Trumpism, and neoliberalism, have been sowing the seeds of their own downfall, with their ignorant meddling, to get more power and money. People will rebel against it, and they will be finished. Look how unpopular Keir Starmer has made himself.

“There are now no non-radical futures. The choice is between immediate and profound social change or waiting a little longer for chaotic and violent social change. In 2023 the window for this choice is rapidly closing.” @KevinClimate
#GretaThunberg has got more wisdom in her little finger than the rest of the world's leadership put together. It's no use attacking her, because the cat is out of the bag. Change is coming whether you like it or not.
12/
Some time in the near future, reality is going to dawn on people, and they're going to say, OMG, Greta was right. She did warn us, and we took no notice. Reality is a bitch. But it will be no use saying, Greta what can we do, because she already told you?
13/
All of this is going to unravel very badly. All the Western leaders, that allowed the genocide in Gaza to happen in plain sight, is going to come back and bite the neoliberal Wester leaders, that allowed it to happen.
14/
None of them, are half as clever as they think they are. All their grand plans, are going to turn to shit, and they will drown in it.

Trump is not some sort of hero, deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize, for this so-called peace deal. Trump is personally responsible for all the tens of thousands Palestinian deaths since he has been in office, as Biden before him.
1/🧵
Both Biden and Trump could have immediately stopped the genocidal massacre of Palestinian civilians, and their starvation, by simply threatening to cut off US military and other aid, as Trump did with Ukraine.
2/
In fact, it this difference between Trump's attitude to Israel and Ukraine, that nullifies his claim to be a peacemaker. Sure, Trump has had to reverse his attitude to Ukraine, after it became apparent, that Putin was the obstacle.
3/
I made this comment in response to @ZackPolanski comment, about being attacked by the right. I will place it as a free standing thread. It is about why an agenda of radical change, is the only realistic way forward, and why.
1/🧵
“There are now no non-radical futures. The choice is between immediate and profound social change or waiting a little longer for chaotic and violent social change. In 2023 the window for this choice is rapidly closing.”
@KevinClimate
What the right cannot get through their thick heads, is that radical change is coming whether you like it or not. The climate and ecological crisis is going to radically alter our societies, ESPECIALLY, if we try to carry on with business as usual BaU.
3/
I want to commend @ZackPolanski for finally saying things in public, in a strong and forthright way, that appeals to everyone. Progressives, without a platform, have been saying these things for years, but never have they been effectively articulated publicly.
1/🧵
Yes, other politicians, have said enlightened things, and I acknowledge them. But none have shaken up the discourse, like @ZackPolanski has. We need far more people to pick up the baton, and start saying these things, in a clear and effective way, to speak with one voice.
2/
We need to create a mass movement for change. This can only be effective, if we speak with one voice, and to put aside any factional bickering. To stop our societies being taken over by the lies of the populist right, we need to come together and fight.
3/
This is straight up sophistry, clever false argument by @lewis_goodall. I can explain to @ZackPolanski how to deal with false argument like this. Instead of trying to counter the false argument, the tactic should be to demand he produces examples to support his assertions.
1/🧵
@lewis_goodall is not asking questions. He is making a series of provably false assertions, implying that fascists declare their intentions to create a one party authoritarian state, before they get into power. I know of no example where this has happened.
2/
In all the examples I'm aware of, especially in a democratic system, fascists only create an authoritarian one party state, after they've got into power. Most deny that is their intention.

So I'm supposed to believe that I only got 298 views and 8 likes, on a factual, thread about the Orwellian truth manipulation we are being subjected to, when I have over 26K followers, and 2 months ago, over half a million people were viewing my threads? 1/7
Here is the evidence of the sort of viewing figures I was getting only 2 months ago. I mean, I have had over 3.2 million views in 7 days. I know what happened, I am not fucking stupid. 2/7
After Charlie Kirk was shot, when the Trump regime were trying to turn him into a martyr of left wing violence. I merely pointed out no one deserves to be killed for what they said. But the prima facie evidence, was it was by a lone deranged gunman.
