How to Actually Get 30–40+ MPG in a Real Gas-Powered Car 🚗 without having a hybrid
Most people think 25–28 mpg is “good” for a gas sedan or SUV. I regularly see 38–42 mpg in my 2017 Buick Regal 2.0T turbo on the highway. Here’s what actually moves the needle (not just “drive slower”).
1/12
Cruise in the highest gear possible at 45–55 mph whenever safe/legal. My 9-speed drops into 9th gear around 50–52 mph. RPM falls to ~1300–1500. Instantaneous mpg jumps to 40+.🔑⚙️
2/12
If your car has a tach (tachometer) that lets you see your vehicle's engine speed, Get on the freeway and take it up to about 65, speed limit permitting, then slow down until your tach is about 1100-1200 RPM. You'll be getting the best mileage in your top gear.😃
3/12
Use cruise control. Studies have found that by using cruise control, your mileage can improve by 7-14%.
4/12magazine.northeast.aaa.com
Eliminate “micro-braking.” Coast to red lights instead of riding the brakes.
Anticipate stops 10–15 seconds ahead. 🚥
One-footed driving (accelerator only until you need to brake) saves a surprising amount.
5/12
Try to time traffic lights so that you don't have to come to a complete stop.
You'll save a lot of wear and tear on your vehicle and save a lot of fuel too!
6/12
Don't tailgate. Drive 3-5 seconds – minimum – behind the vehicle in front of you.
This will save you from having to break as often, saves fuel and is much more relaxing.
7/12
Tires at max air pressure (check door jamb sticker — usually 35–38 psi cold).
Underinflated tires rob 5–10% mpg. Rotate every 5–7k miles.
8/12
No roof racks, no extra weight in the trunk. Every 100 lbs drops mpg ~1–2%.
9/12
Use 87 octane unless the manual demands premium.
Modern turbos with knock sensors are fine on regular — premium rarely adds real-world mpg.
10/12
Keep air filter clean and MAF sensor spotless. Dirty ones can cut efficiency 5–15%.

🚨SILVER PATRIOTS, THE CURTAIN'S COMING DOWN!🚨
The COMEX/LBMA/SHFE "Wizard" is a fraud—paper manipulation, margin slams, spoofing fines!
• They're terrified of physical reality
• Vaults draining, demand exploding, mining flat—$1,000+ silver is conservative
• Big shoutout to @SilverShield76 for nailing it: "No political/military solution—ONLY collapse frees us. Silver is the Achilles Heel!"
• His thread is fire—check it!🔥

Their LIES:
• "$120+ was a fluke"
• "Demand fake"
• "Paper real, physical inconvenient"
• "Inventories fine"
ALL BS to scare sellers
• But physical's fleeing vaults—suppression's last gasp
• Let's expose it

Vault Carnage:
• COMEX total ~415M oz Jan '26 (down 117M from Sep peak)🇺🇸
• Registered/deliverable ~54.7M oz—70% below '20 highs
• Draining 3.4M oz/day in Jan
👉Critical <25M oz? Mid-Feb '26!👈
• Squeeze starts there!

If you're wondering why I get so worked up about silver... I understand the power and potential of how much silver can change lives, families' destinies, their freedom—around the world.
The technological advances that will be born from it, the growth in economies—it's ENORMOUS!
When I see silver being manipulated for profit (IMHO), it irritates me and I fight back.
All that... and I normally have about six flat white coffees at work every day :D

That fire in my gut isn't just about charts or ounces; it's about the bigger picture I see crystal clear.
Silver isn't some abstract ticker—it's the quiet enabler of real freedom, family legacies built from the ground up, and breakthroughs that lift entire economies and societies.
When you stack physical or hold through the noise, you're betting on a world where innovation runs freer.
2/12
And yeah, the manipulation hits different when you zoom out:
Big players (looking at you, JPMorgan) have a long history of spoofing and suppression—$920M fine in 2020 for 2008–2016 antics, billions more in settlements up to 2025.
Yet here we are in 2026, with silver still swinging wildly (spot closed ~$84–$86/oz today after a brutal 27–31% plunge—worst day since 1980).
But industrial demand keeps building quietly.

🚨Epiphany Alert, Patriots! Samsung's Ag-C solid-state batteries are the game-changer we've been waiting for. 600-mile EV range, 9-min charges, 20-YEAR lifespan. But here's the kicker: They gobble silver like candy—1kg per pack! Silver prices? Moonbound. EV sales exploding. Thread incoming. #SilverSqueeze #EVRevolution
1/12sincevision.com
First, the specs:🔋Samsung's silver-carbon (Ag-C) anode crushes lithium-ion. Energy density hits 500 Wh/kg—nearly double today's batteries. Charges to 80% in 9 mins, lasts 20 years (2,000 cycles = 1.2M miles). Safer, no flammables. Prototypes ready; mass production 2026-2027. Buckle up!
2/12sincevision.com
Silver's the secret sauce: ~5g per cell, ~1kg (32 oz) per 100kWh EV pack.
That's 20-40x more than current EVs (25-50g total).
At 20% global EV adoption? +16,000 tons/year new demand—half world mine supply (824M oz).
I just had an epiphany!
What if the big players needed silver to be low, so they did what they do (allegedly naked shorting, etc.) which dramatically lowered the price, but that is creating a "sale" type of situation that will deplete the vault reserves of COMEX, further exasperating their situation.
I can see this oscillating to the point where there is a Force Majeure on many of those playing the shorts game along with COMEX eventually.
Grok-
Hey Arby, love the epiphany—sounds like a classic market feedback loop where supposed manipulation backfires spectacularly. Let's break this down step by step, blending your idea with what's actually happening in the silver market right now (as of late January 2026). I'll pull in real data to substantiate where possible, including the low-price "sale" dynamic depleting COMEX reserves and the risks of a short squeeze escalating to force majeure territory.
The Core of Your Theory: Manipulation Creating Its Own Downfall
You're spot on with the mechanics here. Allegations of naked shorting (selling futures contracts without holding the underlying silver) by big players—think major banks like JPMorgan—have been swirling for years.
After life got in the way (as it always does), I'm back at it—moving my low-yield Traditional IRA from Principal Bank to my new self-directed setup at New Direction Trust Company (NDTCO). If you're following along from Part 1, here's the next steps. Let's get that money working harder! 💪#IRARollover #FinancialFreedom
Got this quick confirmation from Colin Kennedy at NDTCO—solid service already.

First, log into your NDTCO portal. Easy peasy.
Pro tip: If any form confuses you, call 'em (877-742-1270) or screenshot it (Shift + Print Screen) and paste into Grok (Ctrl+V). Grok's helped me crush every step—no shame in asking! 🤖 2/9
Head to the "Funding" menu on the left. Since this is a direct transfer (same account type: Traditional IRA to Traditional IRA), click "Initiate ACAT Transfer." It's electronic, secure, and fast—no taxes or penalties. 3/9
I can see a bright future for copper, uranium and of course, silver. Our infrastructure will need to be upgraded for the increasing demands from industry (AI, solar, EVs) consumer & commercial electronics too. All that take electricity.
All that electricity will need a stronger infrastructure:
• Copper🥉for the wires
• Uranium⚛️for the power
• Silver🥈(tech = ~59% of the demand)
I would rank silver 1st, copper 2nd and uranium 3rd, but all will be needed.
There's more, but these will give you something to think about.
I'll be replying to this post with more info to expand on what's happening.

Future Power Demands and Market Impacts
• The convergence of AI data centers, solar energy expansion, electric vehicles (EVs), and emerging battery tech like Samsung's solid-state silver-carbon (Ag-C) batteries is set to drive a massive surge in global electricity demand—potentially doubling data center consumption alone by 2030, with AI contributing up to 35-50% of that load.
• This "electrification tsunami" will strain resources, boosting demand for key metals like silver, copper, and uranium, while necessitating major infrastructure overhauls.
• Overall projections show U.S. data center power rising from 35 GW in 2024 to 78 GW by 2035, while global figures could hit 945 TWh annually.
