bringing the total reduction to 32 cent per litre.

Petrol excise will also be reduced by a further 10 cent (VAT inclusive), bringing the total reduction to 27 cent per litre.

Green diesel (Marked Gas Oil) will see a further 2.4 cent reduction (VAT inclusive),
bringing the total reduction to 7.4 cent per litre.

These reductions include the previously announced NORA levy adjustments.

Government will also defer the planned Carbon Tax increase, due on 1 May, until Budget 2026.

This will benefit users of home heating fuels
and energy sources, including kerosene, natural gas and solid fuels.

The measures will take effect from midnight, Wednesday 15 April 2026, and will remain in place until 31 July 2026.
