Ending systemic racism will take systemic change.

If you’re in a place to give, donate today to support groups working to end racial injustice, increase the representation of Black people, and fight efforts to suppress Black votes.

Voting is the most precious right of every citizen, and we have a constitutional obligation to ensure the integrity of our process.

@OnwardTogether is proud to announce it will partner with Democracy Docket to protect Americans’ right to vote by mail. onwardtogether.org/voting/
Free and fair access to voting shouldn’t be a partisan issue.

But the reality is that Republican officials are actively seeking to undermine our elections by cutting off voters’ ability to safely cast ballots this fall.
We saw it happen in Wisconsin, when GOP officials refused to postpone an election in April.

The result: Long lines, suppressed turnout for some groups, and over 50 voters & poll workers testing positive for COVID-19.

When the Trump administration threatened to pull out of the Iran deal and impose more sanctions last year, it was clear that we'd lose our leverage and Iran would be free to do what it wanted.

Predictably, Iran is now exceeding enrichment limits the deal once imposed.
By withdrawing from the deal, the administration has effectively broken up the international coalition that was unified in constraining Iran, and now Iran is once again increasing its nuclear capability.
As I said after the Iran deal was reached, it was not perfect but it achieved its fundamental mission of blocking every pathway for Iran to get a bomb.

I've been heartbroken and horrified to read the news of children at the border being detained in appalling conditions.

No soap, no toothbrushes, no beds.

Not enough food, babies being forced to take care of babies, everyone sick.
It's hard to process that our country is committing such abuses—and against children—in our name.

But let's not stop at outrage or heartbreak.
There are amazing groups at the border and beyond doing critical work to defend the rights of immigrant and refugee children.

If you can, please chip in to support a few of them today. secure.actblue.com/donate/kids-an…

The Trump administration opened a new assault on Americans' health care yesterday by telling a federal appeals court that the entire law should be struck down.

It's a sickening attack on people with pre-existing conditions, seniors, and young people. cnn.com/2019/03/25/pol…
The move is a dramatic escalation on the attacks on Obamacare in the courts, even for the Trump administration. Under Jeff Sessions, the Justice Department had argued some parts of the law could stand. Now, all of the law's protections will be at the mercy of conservative judges.
If Republicans prevail in court:

- 20 million people will lose coverage
- Protections for pre-existing conditions will be gone
- Young people won't be able to stay on their parents' plans until age 26
- Limits on coverage will return
- Caps on out-of-pocket expenses will be gone
