1a) We can now ‘marmalise’ the Tories for failing us though he cites the main reason for our anger as immigration failure. Made worse by Brexit. In fact it’s the many lies of Brexit and the failure to level up or improve the NHS which has them tanking in the polls.

Always remember there are 2 Brexits.
The one that ‘won’. Culture war Brexit. The flag-waving, sovereignty-fetishising, fever-dream Brexit.
And actual Brexit.
A corrupt, relentless horrorshow of loss, waste, cost, red tape and damage.
We’re not allowed to talk about actual Brexit.
So you can show off about new trade deals but not be asked how they compare to what we’ve lost.
You can talk about controlling borders but not labour shortages, the border in the Irish Sea or removing our rights.
You can praise the new passport but don’t ask about the queues.

I don’t know how you reconcile the country from here.... how do you forgive all the losses, particularly when they were so thoughtlessly incurred and the gains remain so dubious and distant? @Conservatives@UKLabour
