We are so proud to have had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of ultra-poor families in Kunar, Afghanistan.

In partnership with @WAWHumanRights, we were able to distribute 330 food packages to these families. This support will make a huge impact on the 2825 individuals in these families, 89 of which are led by women and 241 of which are led by men.

In addition to these families, we were also able to provide aid to 28 widows, 39 disabled individuals, and 2 patients.

On March 8, a little girl named Asra was filmed cold and trembling in a slurry of muddy snow, crying on a street corner in Kabul, Afg
The heartbreaking clip soon went viral, grabbing the attention of Aseel donor Francesca, who couldn't bear seeing a child suffering to that extent Image In response, we sent volunteers searching for Asra near the video location. Our volunteer team continually searched and posted about her on social media for over a month to no avail until finally, this week, we tracked her down with help from Maki Ahmadi (who posted the clip).
