Gender equality is not sameness in biology or physiology.

It is the perspective that men and women are equal in value. Hence, they, both, should be taken seriously and treated with respect.

Think of it like racial equality. The concept of people having different races, and yet we find a common denominator for everyone – humanity.

In these differences, the most important thing is to play complementary roles and to co-exist in unity. Harmonious relationship in all!

EQUALITY does not mean SAMENESS. We are different, but we are all equal.

This will be the fifty-fourth (54th) article and the last article on my blog this year. With this, I will call it a year. Thank you for those who have been reading them constantly and who do not mind my epistles . My aim is targeted towards education, enlightenment and shift in ImageImageImageImage perception. I believe I am achieving this and it will always get better.

Fairytales contribute to the perpetuation of gender inequity. These stories educate youngsters to perceive the world through a distorted lens by promoting hazardous preconceptions. Have you ever noticed how

This military saga though. Gender equality is not sameness in biology or physiology.

It is the perspective that men and women are equal in value. Hence, they, both, should be taken seriously and treated with respect.

Think of it like racial equality. The concept of people..... having different races, and yet we find a common denominator for everyone – humanity.

This is what gender equality is all about – reminding us about our humanity. Men and women are equal in value. No gender is superior or inferior to the other. That’s what gender equality.....

Swinging my bag and walking around the area, I couldn’t believe I had made it out. We used to sit out on the sand and admire those we saw on TV wearing green and white and marching. Today, I was one of them. I had finished school and I had been posted to somewhere to serve. We’d just finished the three weeks camp and I had returned home after years of staying away to tell my people that I had made it. After dropping my bags at home and showering, I had gone round to see my old acquaintances, friends, and the younger ones I’d left behind.

Yesterday was Mother's day but I didn't even make any post on that not even for my mum.

If it were to be Father's day, I would have written a thread or epistles🤣

I think this is why several people think I appreciate my dad more/ I am closer to him which is far from the truth. People wonder why I don't celebrate mother's day but I celebrate father's day.

I always like questioning social constructs. I take time celebrating the unusual. Mothers are usually celebrated much more than fathers so I really don't pay attention most times/never occurs to me.

As a young girl, I can't remember mum bathing me, it was you all through, I can't remember mum brushing my teeth, it was you. While you dressed me up and got me ready for school, mum was busy in the kitchen making breakfast.

#HappyFathersDay2020 I never took public transport for one day! I could remember vividly you coming to OAU solely to give me freshly homemade stew prepared by Mum. That one hour drive was nothing to you because you ALWAYS put our needs (and sometimes even our wants) first. ALWAYS!
