On 12 April 2022 the Akimat (local executive body) of Almaty issued a refusal to hold a peaceful rally scheduled for 1 May 2022 in response to 2 notifications submitted by civil activists.

Politically motivated refusals to notifications of peaceful assemblies. On 11 April 2022, the Akimat (local executive body) of #Aktau issued a refusal to hold a peaceful assembly on 1 May 2022 in response to a notification submitted by activist Bolat #NURGAZIN.

The topic of the peaceful assembly: "In solidarity with Ukraine. No to war. In favour of leaving the #CSTO and #EAEU. Increase in people's incomes.
The reason for the politically motivated refusal: mass cultural and sporting events are going to be held on that day.

It should be reminded that Abay BEGIMBETOV and a number of other activists were illegally sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment in October 2021 for their peaceful activism: participation in peaceful protests, criticism of the authorities.

On 5 January 2022 Marat went on a peaceful protest where he was a gunshot and taken by unidentified people to the city hospital #7.Doctors diagnosed Marat with an“open multi-comminuted fracture of the lower third of the two bones of the right tibia caused by a gunshot”.

On 8 April police officers left two unlawful summons for Aliya URASHEVA with demands to appear in a criminal case No. 224300031000001 at the Kyzylorda Police Department on 8 April 2022, at 15:00 and on 9 April at 10:00.

On 5 January 2022, a 22-year-old man named Ansar #ISLAM drove with his brother to change oil in his car. He noticed another car parked 30 metres away from his car and a wounded man laying on the ground.

Ansar ran to help the wounded man. Along with another man, he put the wounded man in the car, but at that very moment he himself received two gunshot wounds (in the neck and pelvis), as a result of which he died.

Bakyt took part in the peaceful protest to support peaceful protesters from Aktau and Zhanaozen, to express his position on rising prices and corruption. During the peaceful protest, he was shot in the leg. Other protesters took him to an ER, where he underwent surgery.

The next victim of bloody January torture is Yerbol #SHAKHANOV.
On 5 January, Yerbol was shot in the leg, after which he was taken to city hospital No.12. Three days later and Yerbol was being tortured in the pre-trial detention facility SI-18.

He received medical treatment in the city hospital No.7. On 8 January he and other injured people were illegally taken from the hospital by the armed special rapid response unit (SOBR) and taken to the pre-trial detention facility SI-18, ⤵️

In the corridor of the Police Department, he saw his friend who was handcuffed. Every passerby kicked his friend. Azat was taken to the investigator's office and his other friend was there too. His friend was naked and unable to lift his head.

In the afternoon of 10 January 2022 two police officers came to Zhumabike's house and took him to the Police Department. There, he was forced to write an explanatory note.
Then, he was taken to the Zavodskoy Police Department where he was held for 24 hours.

He moved from China in August 2021 and only recently received Kazakhstani citizenship. He wanted to make Kazakhstan famous for his sporting achievements.

The exact date, where, how and under what circumstances he was injured is unknown.
