The Times couldn’t publish this letter because they published another of my letters recently. But if you read its op-ed characterizing my position, please read this response. “Caroline Frederickson has falsely claimed that I told the Senate that the President can commit “any” act —including criminal conduct— if he believes that remaining in office serves the public interest.

The WSJ and New York Times criticize media and Senators who misrepresented my views. (MTC) The Wall Street Journal said the following: "The media claims[s] that defense lawyer Alan Dershowitz said a President can do anything to further his re-election as long as he thinks it is in the national interest.
This isn’t what he said. (MTC)

What I said was that there are 3 broad categories of relevant motive:
1) pure national interest ( help the military)
2) pure corrupt motive ( get a kickback) And 3) mixed motive (help the national interest in a way that helps your reelection efforts )
(MTC) I said that the 3rd was often the reality of politics and that helping one's own re-election efforts cannot — by itself— necessarily be deemed corrupt.

I am pleased that the exculpatory material that I have been trying to get unsealed for years will finally be made public. These smoking gun emails and unpublished manuscript prove that my false accuser — who I never even met—was told to include me in her manuscript describing her alleged sexual encounters, in order to help her market her book, despite her admitted knowledge of my total innocence. c

The new McCarthyism comes to Harvard. The firing of Dean Sullivan reminds me of the bad old days when lawyers were fired for representing communists, gay people, civil rights demonstrators and women seeking abortions.
dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7… This may be the worst violation of academic freedom during my 55 year association with Harvard. Any student who feels “unsafe “in the presence of Dean Sullivan and his wife does not belong at a university.

1/ I want to be investigated by the FBI:
on.wsj.com/2Fv343j 2/ There are some in the #MeToo movement for whom there is no such thing as innocence. Despite having proved I never even met my accuser, my appearances on college campuses have been greeted with protests accusing me of being part of a “rape culture.”

I would like nothing better that having the hearing open to the press so that they can report on the sealed evidence that proves I was framed for money by two perjuring women who I never met and who have refused to accuse me in public so I can sue them for defamation. I brought the appeal to unseal. The other side opposes unsealing. Brown had willfully distorted the truth to fit her narrative. Irresponsible reporting.

In his multiple tweets, @SethAbramson avoids responding to my challenge: name one American who Mueller has charged with unlawfully conspiring with Russia to influence the 2016 election. I have patience. 1/ If after completing his investigation, Mueller comes up with no one in this core category, will @SethAbramson admit I make an important point?
Im sure Abramson deserved his grade and I commend him for thinking for himself. 2/

@SethAbramson willfully misrepresents my argument which is that, to date, Mueller has not charged Americans with criminally attempting to “interfere in the 2016 presidential election,” which is his primary mandate. 1/ Instead, he has charged primarily process crimes such as lying, obstruction, and witness tampering. As I wrote, these are ”serious” crimes, but secondary to his core mandate. 2/

1/The bias of this report is clear from the fact that these reporters constantly characterize as protesters, violent Hamas fighters who carry weapons and maps of civilian targets. nyti.ms/2s2GAiw 2/Their goal was not to regain land taken from them but rather to break through the fence and kidnap and kill Israeli civilians. The report calls all the people killed civilians though many were armed Hamas fighters. Even Hamas acknowledges that.

.@eshap I am not at all defensive about standing up for principals which I have advocated for many years. @eshap totally misled me by telling my assistant that he was doing research and wanted to ask some academic questions. 1/ .@eshap then accused me of defending Trump’s civil liberties for money rather than out of a belief in civil liberties principals. 2/

1/ The Daily News is publishing a false accusation by an unbalanced woman who has said she has sex tapes of Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton, Bill Clinton and other prominent figures. She has falsely accused me of having sex with her many years ago when she was in her 20’s. 2/ She has also fantasized that I was her lawyer in a specific case, which is easily disprovable by court records and the absence of any retainer agreements. I never met this woman. She has made up the entire story.

(1) Israel is and must always remain the democratic nation-state of the Jewish people which accords equal rights to all of its citizens. The history of the Jewish people justifies—indeed demands—that there be one state that manifests the national aspirations of the Jewish people. (2) Zionism has long been the national liberation movement of the Jewish people that culminated in the establishment of Israel 70 years ago with its brilliantly articulated Declaration of independent statehood for the Jewish people and their new national homeland.
