Years ago, a friend who was very active in Bar Politics in the Punjab, told me that Punjab bars issues licenses too entirely unqualified persons, just to swell their vote banks. The #PICAttack is the fruit of this strategy.
The 2007 Lawyers movement didn’t help. The already poorly trained Pakistani lawyer was pulled out of the courtroom on to the street never to be sent back. The #PICAttack is the fruit of that strategy.

Have been re-reading #JusticeIsa & Mushir Alam's joint judgment in the #FaizabadDharna case morning in an attempt to understand why PTI government may think its 'biased'. I could not find anything but perhaps more discerning readers will. Here's the link: thenews.com.pk/assets/docs/SM…
If anyone would like to help find the 'biased' portions, here are the conclusions #JusticeIsa & Alam reached in the judgment: 1. Citizens have the right to form and to be members of political parties subject to the law. #FaizabadDharna

1. Have finally read judgment in #Jadhav case. The judgment does NOT find that Jadhav was a spy. Equally it does NOT direct Pakistan to return Jadhav to India asap. However, #ICJ does find Pakistan in breach of its obligations under the Vienna Convention. More highlights follow:
2. The matter was before ICJ because: Both India and Pakistan have signed the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and are parties to the Optional Protocol WITHOUT reservations. This means that all disputes regarding the Convention MUST be brought before the ICJ. #Jadhav#ICJ

1. I have been intrigued all day by claims by Pakistan that it had 'won' the Jadhav case. Even a cursory read of the press release suggests otherwise. Let me recap: #Jadhav#ICJ2. The International Court of Justice has found Pakistan to be in breach of its obligations incumbent under Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. In doing so, the Court has FULLY upheld India's contention against Pakistan in this regard. #Jadhav#ICJ

1. There seems to be a move afoot in Pakistan to return it to a Presidential system of governance. 'Return' because this has been tried before and has failed. What has happened now to make it so attractive? I will try and do a thread on our Constitutional History.
2. When Pakistan was created in '47 by the British Indian Independence Act 1947, it did not have a Constitution. Muslim League had boycotted the Indian Constituent Assembly in 46 and demanded a separate one from the British.
