🧵 On #RefugeesWelcome, Open Borders and @GaryLineker:

Imagine a very high-end, Michelin starred restaurant.
Everyone wants to dine here, but of course, the number of seats are limited.
As is the space in fridges to keep produce fresh and to the level of quality which… has earned this restaurant its prestige.

The majority of tables are reserved for the patrons who’ve contributed to building this fine establishment.
Others who wish to dine must reserve a table and wait for their turn. Naturally, due to the desirability of the food and ambience,

Watching @intelligence2 debate with @Ayaan and @bindelj speaking for the motion of “Is Cancel Culture threatening our freedom?”

The best they could do for the opposition is getting people like @kehinde_andrews and @billybragg. @Ayaan offers a great personal experience how cancel culture is a move to the anti-liberal society she escaped from.

@billybragg, on the other hand, starts lying immediately by focusing exclusively on Daily Mail.

It’s #ShakespeareSunday so it’s apt to recite my favourite sonnet, which is timely in this regard: the Wokeasi (woke Stasi) will keep casting assertions at anyone who deviates ever so slightly from their dogma, even when the person is someone as benign as Tony Abbott. More and more people have realised that this is an unwinnable game, and others are thinking that if they are to be condemned regardless, why not at least live up to the assertion they’re being condemned of.

Which is what Shakespeare wrote 400 years ago:

Top trending courses on LinkedIn.

Who knew there'd be a cottage industry of charlatans, profiteering from #WhiteGuilt with completely useless, futile and ineffective "trainings"?

Everyone. @DouglasKMurray predicted this years ago.

Maybe I should get a piece of the pie? Image I mean, it's so simple! I'm a brown man who escaped war to come to here. I'll just ignore the fact that The West *literally* saved my and my 4 siblings' and my parents' lives.

Instead, I will teach the forced attendees things like:

If you’re ever out of toilet paper, don’t use Salon as a replacement! It’s not worthy of being used as such.

In this article, professional liar and uneducated hack @xriskology says things like “there is simply no other interpretation of this than ‘Black people are genetically.. ...dumber”.

What is the “this” Phil is refereeing to? Sam Harris’ observation that expecting ppl from different geographies, histories, cultures, backgrounds, practices, religions and ages to have parity is not logical.

In Phil’s ignorant mind, this means that black people...

I disagree with most fellow atheist friends, like the mighty @GSpellchecker, about Dawkins and Hitchens.

I think they both set the intellectual debate about theism v atheism back 100 years.

The most stupid arguments, claims and assertions from each: Richard Dawkins: “If god created Universe, then who created god?”

This is the main argument in “The God Delusion”, one of the worst dialectical books in history.

The aim of the book is Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Neither of which believe god ever came into being, as

Hey @benandjerrysUK,

Since you decided that an ice cream company has the right to teach our Secretary of State about immigration policies, all me - a former refugee - to respond your thread, one by one. With the same argument, you can defend theft, robbery and even murder. Just because the conditions cause someone to break the law, doesn’t mean the law hasn’t been broken. https://t.co/d9CedB9kAZ

He’s putting most his chips on “whites use drugs as much as blacks” (true)

Unfortunately for him, 99.5% of drug offenders in prison are not there for drug use - they’re there for drug trafficking (bjs.gov/content/pub/pd…)

So, he wasted his readers time with a complete straw man His second main contention is that it’s questionable whether black people commit more violent than other demographics. That’s just laughable. The overwhelming majority of evidence from every single trusted source goes proves the opposite.

He thinks black communities are over-

THREAD: I have to respond to @WenJackwoman in a separate thread, seeing as you've actually asked questions, which suggests to me that you're open to arguments.

1. Have you ever heard the expression "The lunatics have taken over the asylum"? In your case, it's the children who have taken over the school. Your job as a teacher is not to appease your students, or confirm their preconceived beliefs - it's to challenge them and their entire worldview with knowledge, regardless of how "uncomfortable" it may make them. A place for education should be the

@KateAndrs I’ve long admired you and your work, but your latest work in @spectator is utterly flawed. May I ask - did you get your data from mappingpoliceviolence.com? I suspect so, which would explain why your data is inaccurate.
Black people are disproportionately targeted by the police, only if you measure by percentage of population. But that’s a flawed calculation. The accurate calculation is *encounter with police* and *likelihood of encounter with the police*. In other words, in relation to percentage of crimes committed by a certain demographic.

I could do like you. It’s easy to do that. I could hashtag “BlackLivesMatter” and share anti-racist material, as if I’m committing a courageous act, even though almost everyone I’ve ever met in my life share the same opinion.

I could write a song about George Floyd and record myself singing it, to later post it on social media for likes and retweets.

I could share moronic articles from @guardian about “7 things you can do right now to be less racist” and other vomit inducing nonsense like that.

I could spend my days virtue signalling about how

#ThankYouBritain and your least racist, most welcoming people on earth, for giving me a home, a job, a life of prosperity and health.

#ThankYouBritain and Britons all over the country - from London to Dundee, who’ve welcomed me to your homes, provided me with education, knowledge and a platform to succeed.

It’s so boring with people who use undefined terms as a substitute for an argument.

What structures? Give specifics.
Explain why things have gotten worse for black community in many aspects *after* the repeal of Jim Crow & Red Lining?
Explain why rate of poverty reduction *reduced* from 40% over 20 years to 8% over to 20 years after The War on Poverty started?
Explain how thawed structures doesn’t affect black immigrants for some reason, some of whom do better than even white people? Explain why these mythical structures don’t stop black people

I will lose many friends over what I'm about to say.

I will possibly be called a racist or even a white supremacist (even though I'm a brown man, who's been beaten to a pulp by neo-Nazis wearing steel toed boots).

But maybe, just maybe, the fact that I am getting 100% of my information from the black scholars in the picture - The Great Thomas Sowell, Glenn Loury, Shelby Steele, John McWorther, Coleman Hughes, Kmele Foster and Thomas Chatterton Williams, allows me some room for thought?

I’ve been watching the narrative play universally over

The killing of George Floyd has been used by everyone to show their anti-racism card and feel good about themselves.

They don’t care about black people - it’s just a great tragedy that they’re not letting go to waste.

African Americans are roughly 14% of the US population... yet commit 50% of the murders. But it’s not the elderly or the children or the women doing the killing - it’s the young men, which constitute 3% of the population.

3% of US population is responsible for 50% of the murders, 96% of which are black victims. No one bats an eye. But

Multimillionaires like @shaunking @Trevornoah @douglasmartini Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, @KingJames @BronzeBomber and other charlatans who made their millions in America telling the black population that it’s a systemic racist country is the height of hypocrisy.

These people are race baiters, race hustlers and charlatans.

Look at the unilateral condemnation, hatred, anger and fight for what happened to George Floyd.

That’s not a racist country. It’s the sign of one of the least racist countries on earth.

But to play such a narrative would be to

Couldn’t get through to @LBC with @MaajidNawaz unfortunately.

Instead, I had to listen to complete inaccuracies being perpetuated by Maajid and his guests. At one point, Maajid said the gentleman who asked the woman to put a leash on her dog “could’ve been shot” by cops! I hope my friend @MaajidNawaz looks at the truth behind the narrative. People like @kmele @coldxman @JohnHMcWhorter @GlennLoury @larryelder and the Great Thomas Sowell (all black - not that it matters). There is no disproportionate killing of black people by American police force.

A thread on @piersmorgan:

Mr. Morgan’s past is known to most people. He published lies about the British Army for the single purpose of elevating his own name and making more money. There’s not much else that needs to be said about this, except that it encapsulates the character of the man.

Mr. Morgan is renowned for not only jumping on the bandwagon, but pretending to be leading it.
Just search for “Piers Morgan Conor McGregor” and you’ll see a glimpse of this.

Mr. Morgan has never watched or commented on MMA before. He wouldn’t know the difference
