Time to finish with Assassin's Creed Landmarks: STONEHENGE... Let's talk about the 56 Aubrey holes that surrounds SH and their significance to the Pagans.

Aubrey holes form a ring around SH and are known as such b/c of antiquarian John Aubrey's foundation of them.

(1/5) Heel stone in front of Stonehenge Now, 56 is a unique number in astronomy..

There are 3 theories on how Pagans used Aubrey Holes (AH) and how it relates to their culture and astronomy..

1. Lunar Calendar
A. Take a marker, move AH to AH, Skip one hole everyday... It equals 28.
B. 28-30 days= 1 month🗓️

Back with more AC Landmarks: Stonehenge (SH)

This tweet thread will cover the sun's trajectory around SH and it will lead to another thread.

Some background info: Originally, Phase 1 people had 3 menhirs (heel printed stones) around SH, but 1 survives (the heelstone)...
(1/3) 1. Summer Solstice (June 21): You stand at the center of SH, look at the heelstone. The sun rises directly over the stone on June 21.

2. Winter Solstice (Dec. 21): Same place, but turn 180 and look at the tallest trilithon, the sun sets between the post of the trilithon

Expanding on #AssassinsCreedValhalla Landmarks: STONEHENGE. Today, its theories!

(Refer to my PHASES Tweet for a deeper dive on the theories!)

Theory 1: It's a Burial Ground. Body remains were found in the 56 Aubrey holes. Why trilithons though?! Must have deeper meaning!

1/4 Theory 2: Stonehenge (SH) was built way before Christianity, so Pagans built them as a way to reach their Gods, towards the Heavens! (one-way
@assassinscreed can justify Pagans having a connection with the ISU)

Theory 3: SH has major primitive astronomical influence..

Today's landmark: STONEHENGE!

1. Stonehenge is famous b/c of its geography, its many phases of construction, and its complex astronomical design.
2. It's in Salisbury Plain, the border b/w East and West England.

(1/4) 3. Stonehenge had a 3-mile radius to its own where no one lived there. They buried their dead there so it's the world of ancestors, spiritual plane of existence if u will

(Prediction: This might be how AC lore could be connected to how The Isu made a "temple" there)
