Probably most consequential event as FM has been #COP27 in Egypt. Shaken by #PakistanFloods, worst natural disaster 🇵🇰 has ever seen, for us climate change is not a problem of the future. CoP-27 endorsed 🇵🇰 proposal as Chair of G77 & China, to place “loss & damage” on the agenda! Image This proposal aims at creation of a financing mechanism to address climate disasters in developing countries. Pakistan & other developing countries have asserted we should be able to access resources to recover from climate disasters through a “loss & damage” financing facility.
