RT if you think it’s absolutely insane that companies like @DoorDash and @UberEats are now taking up-to (and in many cases) *over 40%* of restaurant revenue, now that they are pushing their ad product on top of the already-existing 30% commission just to be listed in the apps.
My ghost kitchen restaurant, for example, brings in $2,300-$3,200 per day.
30-40% of that immediately goes to @DoorDash & @UberEats as a “marketing fee” — even though we did the the heavy lifting marketing work through direct FB & Insta ads.
