Some thoughts on tick data for long to medium-timeframe trading

1/n
First, let's get the facts straight.
Other timeframe traders (investors) can be visible on micro timeframe data but micro timeframe traders(locals) cannot be visible on other timeframe data(>daily)

After switching to Linux (Manjaro) 2 s/w missed greatly
Snagit
Dragon Naturally Speaking

After some experiments, settled with Screenshot but nothing comes close to Snagit (doesn't work in wine)

For speech to text experimented w/ kaldi but then gave up after multiple issues I can live with Snagit but realized Dragon Naturally Speaking is a deal-breaker. It used to be my default tool for shitposting.

So just decided to use Windows for non-work-related stuff and Linux for work/coding stuff on the work machine.

import sqlite3
that's all you have to do On that note, Pandas also not a database. What funny is often guys install pandas and use as a database while sqlite3 is already preinstalled but never use it as a DB.

Those new to python if possible use editor with iPython console (interactive Python) instead of default IDLE. iPython allows you to execute a selected cell which saves a lot of trial & error time. There are several IDEs w/ iPython but stay with a minimal learning curve. Now I feel stupid saving my entire code like a compiled language and if there is a logical error then I would correct the line based on a hunch, save the code and run again, lol.

The Man Who Solved the Market - Gregory Zuckerman
Excerpts, screenshots and my notes along with it #ForOwnReference Entertaining? Hell yeah

Actionable secrets? Are you kidding me? If you're looking for one then quit reading right here, I mean don't read any finance book like ever

Nuances & interesting tidbits? Plenty of them, Zuckerman did his research for sure.

Beware, it's a long thread

#Nifty F Hypo. Open right below prev day's established value. Acceptance above 10680 is the key for upside. Below 10680 may rotate to fill prev days minus development If I have to simplify Market Profile w/o any lingo then I'd say forget value area, just remember thick TPO clusters (above 10680) and single or double TPOs (below 10680).
Forget market profile day types just remember b-shape,p-shape and D-shape
