I had a few points in response to my Insta post about the Ryedale Hoard which are worth discussing again. "Do you think more people might donate to museums if, as a matter of course sometimes, our" treasure finds" which sometimes take years to go through the process, to them be bought for a paltry sum by a local museum to end up in a drawer somewhere and never be seen again?...
