Buenos Aires will almost definitely be on my most people’s want-to-visit lists. Here I’d like to share some of my favourite places. There are so many bars, restaurants, cultural centres, etc. that this list will barely scratch the surface, but hopefully it will inspire!

🇦🇷 🧵 Image My favourite places of all are Buenos Aires’ “bar notables”, old bars with an almost tangible soul. Between 80-130 years old, these places have seen it all.

El Boliche de Roberto is my #1. Bulnes 331, Almagro.

Celebrated it’s 130th birthday in October 2023.

Ahead of Boca-River tonight, a LONG READ thread on River Plate's 2010/11 season: How did a massive club and institution like Club Atlético River Plate get relegated from Argentina's top tier in June 2011?

🇦🇷 #longread (3,000 words) This thread is based on the fantastic When We Were Kings podcast with the blessing of its creators @ErikNiva & @andreassonhakan. Because the podcast is in Swedish, I wanted to translate the story and share it in English. open.spotify.com/episode/3s5HFo…
