Batteries are devices that store electricity. They do not produce electricity out of nothing. They require a chemical reaction or another way to gain, store, and release, electrons. This is the terrible truth and weak link in Electric Vehicles, EVs.

The atmosphere (the air we breathe) is mostly Nitrogen, N2, and Oxygen, O2. Less than .04% of our air is the evil Carbon Dioxide, CO2. Well, actually, without that .04% we would all die. Every living thing, would die. Why? Photosynthesis.
