Do you work for tips? Legislation tabled by BC NDP govt will establish a legal framework around tips & tip-pooling practices to prevent employers from withholding them from workers. #bcpoli #betterlabourlaws4bc Under current laws, if an employer illegally withholds wages from an employee, the employee can only go after them for max 6 months of wages. These Employment Standards Act changes will increase the recovery period to 12 months, and up to 24 months in some situations. #bcpoli

Let's do this more or less chronologically. Early on, we stopped a BC Liberal plan to sell off a hugely valuable piece of public property to private interests right by the #NorthVan waterfront.
